How many clothes do you buy a year?

Just wondering how many items people buy a year? Not including underwear but including pjs and gym kit and shoes.

I buy in splurges rather than regularly and I think it is something like an item a month but I am also sure I am lying to myself that it is only 12 items a year…Grin

No much but when I do buy things I spend a lot. Eg I have one winter woollen coat that was £850 14 years ago (I know the exact date as it was just before I fell pregnant with first DC). Other friends by a new coat every season. I buy about 6 things a year but may spend £200- £300 on one item.

I'm not sure but it would be interesting to keep count.

So far this year I've bought:

2 x dresses
1 x jumper
2 x cardigan
4 x tops
3 x leggings
1 x sweatshirt

Most items were from the Jigsaw January sale. I seem to buy most of my winter clothes in the January sales. Will likely buy a few more bits as we get into summer.

Oh, actually I've bought 4 sweatshirts Blush

I bought these for working from home as they are easier to wash than wool jumpers.

I'd say maybe 4 items at the start of summer and 4 items at the start of winter

@MidnightMeltdown - my lockdown shopping too was sweatshirts:-

2 from local boutique - a black and dark green W slogo one and a navy and white 'This is My Day off' one.

1 from Tu - navy with white boucle slogan

2 or 3 from Hush - one grey washed with colourful dragon
1 from Ebay Hush but BNWT washed lighter blue

and a Numph royal/bright blue panelled sweatshirt because I love the colour.

1 x Zara puff/ballon sleeved black one and also a stone coloured one the same but think I returned or charity shopped that.

Did the same as you - perfect to wash, good transitional bits and also can fit long sleeved or vest tops under them.
