Are Ray Bans worth the money?

I wear sunglasses throughout the year as my eyes are quite sensitive to light. I have several pairs of cheap sunglasses (next, boots, new look etc etc) that are dotted in handbags and the car.
I am coveting some Ray Bans (Jackie Ohh style). It would
Be quite a big purchase for me but I think i need/deserve a treat- so do you think they are worth the money or should
I stick with my cheapies?

I have Jackie ohhs and they are the only sunglasses that don’t hurt my head .
I didn’t have a polarised pair but found they scratched a lot easier than my non polarised pair .
Sat on another pair in the car and broke the lenses so need to get some more !

It's not a fashion brand per se, their aviators are worn by professional pilots, and for good reason.

They also do fashion frames, but the lenses aren't 'fashion' lenses, they're the real deal.

My husband bought me some Ray Ban Wayfarers for my birthday 8 years ago and they are still as good as new. I love them.

They're the only sunglasses I ever buy, and I'm embarrassed to say I've accumulated quite a few pairs. I've got one in my handbag along with my reading glasses; a pair of very old Wayfarers in the kitchen for wearing on dog walks/gardening; a pair in the car for driving and a pair in DH's just in case............. I love the lightweight metal frame ones (Erica type) best. I'm really light sensitive so wear them most of the year round.
