Necklace similar to Tiffany's but less £££

Dd is going to be 15 in a few weeks and has her heart set on this necklace.

She maintains that she's wanted it for years (she has mentioned it intermittently tbf). There's nothing else that she wants for her birthday, other than a few clothes and plant pots etc which I've already bought her.

I think it's too expensive for a 15th birthday present - 'more special' birthday maybe, but recognise that that's all a bit random. I'm also not sure when she'll wear it as she doesn't have much of a social life, and think she'll have gone off it by the time that she does.

Has anyone seen something similar but much, much cheaper about?

TIA

Re Tiffany Necklace. When you buy anything Tiffany, you're strictly paying for the name. Your 15 year old daughter wants one of these necklaces, yet you're concerned about the price. There are hundreds of thousands of pre-owned available. You can find one online, including the pouch and the box. It's insane to pay retail price.
However it’s the only way you’ll know you aren’t buying a fake which is hugely likely on eBay.

I've seen thousands of Tiffany pieces and none were fake. The resale value isn't worthy of creating a fake one. Very inexpensive.

I don't have any DDs, but am familiar with presents for the women in my life, past and current.
One thing I learned was if they want "the thing" you'll find receiving something else entirely is infinitely more palatable than receiving "nearly the thing".

Hmm. People fake all sorts of stuff.

Completely agree that a Tiffany necklace can’t be substituted- I’ve had two for 20 years! How about agreeing for her 16th but getting a cheaper necklace to last the year? That way she’ll be sure she likes the feel of one beforehand

Your daughter has good taste! I have a Tiffany’s bracelet and my daughter who is now 18 got a Tiffany’s bracelet with charms when she was 15. Bought from Tiffany’s in NYC. Don’t buy a fake, it will never have the same quality.

Buy it on vinted or eBay, obviously check their ratings and look at the pictures closely but preloved is the way to go with jewellery x

I still have a necklace I covered for years and received for my 15th birthday. I’m 50+ I admire nice jewellery and would rather have one nice piece occasionally than several copies or cheap ones. She has liked this for some time, considering the horrendous couple of years we just had, is it so bad to give her a nice treat?
