Sorry I don't know how to link very well but looking for opinions on this jacket.

I'm missing a jacket in my wardrobe that is in between smart and casual.

100% ugly

CathyorClaire · 07/03/2022 21:10

Straps on the shoulders should be the least of your worries but if you love it, you love it.

You don't need others to validate it.

Suzi888 · 07/03/2022 21:10

I was D cup and size 8 (many moons ago) Grinand was definitely busty and I’m a fair bit taller than you. I agree with pp would draw to much attention to the bust area and it’s so unflattering - the jacket. I think it would swamp such a small frame. I would go for something more fitted.

MartinMartinMarti · 07/03/2022 21:11

It looks like the model has done it up wrong.

Sorry, I’m a fan of mumsnet style ‘Swedish architect style’. But that’s not good.

IvorCutler · 07/03/2022 21:11

In the minority here but I really like it

DSGR · 07/03/2022 21:12

Nope.
I have a short belted trench from
Hobbs. Maybe not the height of fashion but a classic and wouldn’t drown me or you!

DogsAndGin · 07/03/2022 21:13

Awful. Also, just coming into spring - maybe wait til sales or new season?

timestheyarechanging · 07/03/2022 21:17

I think it would work better if it wasn't black. I'm tiny too 5ft 6/8)and it would look ridiculous on me. I always go to the whowhatwear.co.uk website for inspiration and use their search engines. Some lovely smart/casual ones featured there. My trusty trench is knee length, years old and from M&S Aurograph so they may still do petite ones.
Just bought a beautiful The Kooples leather jacket for £20 in a charity shop - that's my Best Buy for spring!

Littleguggi · 07/03/2022 21:26

Regarding my cup size, I guess it's relative to band size so I wouldn't class myself as 'busty'.

I think I might do a bit more shopping around haha! If it wasn't so expensive I would have definitely ordered it by now.

Pp looks nothing like a Barbour

Coat is awful personally looks humongous

Dresslover1950s · 07/03/2022 21:29

But you’re the one wearing it if you like it buy it

SeenYourArse · 07/03/2022 21:30

It’s absolutely AWFUL I’m mid 30’s too

pictish · 07/03/2022 21:35

No. So drab.

JaninaDuszejko · 07/03/2022 21:42

I'm guessing you're a 28 or 30E? That's not a big bust. I like the coat, if you like it go back and try on the S and XS and see if you still like it.

LightSpeeds · 07/03/2022 21:42

@deadlanguage

The black and the shapelessness give it strong bin bag vibes
😂 Sorry, it's horrible...
tolerable · 07/03/2022 21:43

Flubber88 · 07/03/2022 21:43

DramaAlpaca · 07/03/2022 21:45

I think it'll drown you.

Reviewer123456 · 07/03/2022 21:45

I like it.

thenightsky · 07/03/2022 21:46

Cup size E so not busty

Typo??

I'm an E and consider myself VERY busty.

Dottdoo · 07/03/2022 21:46

This style is coming back in. Sweaty Betty have released a similar full length one
Agree though it will look best on girls with smaller boobs - if wearing for fashion reasons, if wearing in the rain to walk the dog - totally fine!

FrenchNameChange · 07/03/2022 21:52

That is rank

MinglingFlamingo · 07/03/2022 21:53

No that's hideous I'm afraid
