I love Armani Luminous Silk but really need to get it colour matched and have no counter within travelling distance. Throw suggestions at me for an alternative please. Have access to Space NK and Frasers. Thanks!

Boots number 7 hydraluminous. Goes on well and nice and dewy. The tinted moisturiser is nice too

SalsaLove · 23/02/2022 18:19

I’m 54 and use Giorgio Armani neo nude. Lovely and lightweight.

Purpleavocado · 23/02/2022 18:21

EL double wear but only if well moisturised. The beauty pie tinted moisturiser is nice.i really want to try the new Charlotte tilbury foundation

AuntieMarys · 23/02/2022 18:22

I have a nice Urban decay one

strawberryapricotpie · 23/02/2022 18:23

Estee Lauder Double Wear.

AgathaX · 23/02/2022 18:38

I was using Double Wear Light but they've discontinued it. I'm now trying to find something as good. Double Wear itself is too heavy for me.

isthismylifenow · 23/02/2022 18:51

Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish.

I'm 52.

peaceanddove · 23/02/2022 20:33

I'm 51. Erborian CC Cream is my Holy Grail. I used to swear by Chanel Aqua Lumiere, but Erborian is far better, lasts all day and well into the evening.

There's nothing the South Koreans don't know about skincare.

RachHen · 23/02/2022 20:34

Armani

RachHen · 23/02/2022 20:35

I phoned them in Selfridges. Told him what I had been in the summer.

RachHen · 23/02/2022 20:35

If you can’t face that then in space NK go and look at the

RachHen · 23/02/2022 20:37

Oops. Hourglass brand. I got some concealer from there and love it

Wagsandclaws · 23/02/2022 20:38

Nars tinted moisturiser, game changer for me.

Enzbear · 23/02/2022 20:42

Revolution fast base foundation stick. Cheap and amazing.

Moonshine5 · 23/02/2022 20:46

Sound like you would like hourglass from your brand history which they sell at space nk

Grandadwasthatyou · 23/02/2022 20:48

@peaceanddove ...agree. Have tried so many over the years. Now in my early 60s and Eborian is all I use with a bit of blusher.

MrPanks · 23/02/2022 20:54

I'm 53. Another vote for Erborian. I prefer the CC cream when my skin is clearer but the BB when I need a little more coverage. I use the Clair shade which is their lightest. I worried that it would be too pale but it adjusts to your skin, and looks really nice.

I find it too heavy on its own but mix it with a bit of Mac primer and it looks dewy and not heavy but still gives good coverage.

Depending how much coverage you need, I do 50/50 of each

Anothermnuser · 23/02/2022 21:26

Goodness, thank you for so many recommendations.

I did actually contact Armani Beauty on their chat and they suggested a couple of shades based on my last colour match … only I was never really happy with that as the SA said it was better to go darker than my skin-tone. I used it for a couple of years but always felt it wasn’t quite right. Sadly my nearest Armani counter is a 3 hr drive.

I’ll definitely have a look at these recommendations - it’s good to see some recommended by a few posters. Thanks again.

Perhaps go and get colour matched on a Clinique counter or whatever is nearest to you and then put that colour into the findation site? I use Double Wear and used that shade on findation to get my Armani foundation and it's perfect.

To soften my double wear I mix it with Iconic Illuminator and Estée Lauder night repair. I apply it with a brush and finish off with a damp sponge.

Anothermnuser · 23/02/2022 21:39

@Rina66, that’s a good idea. If I don’t find something I really like, I’ll take note of the shade and see what it comes up with on Findation. Thank you!

I mix a splodge of Eborian cc cream into my Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser. Perfect!

Westerman · 23/02/2022 22:04

I'm 52 and I use Make Up Forever's Watertone. It's runnier than most foundations and I find it gives a nice, sheer coverage; exactly what I need as mu skin isn't too bad for my age.

OverByYer · 23/02/2022 22:08

I use trinny London BFF and BFF destress

BringMeTea · 23/02/2022 22:17

ByTerry Nude Expert stick. I have stockpiled.
