Ok all the pashmina/wrap haters - what is your suggestion for people to wear instead if they get cold wearing short sleeve/sleeveless dresses?

Totally agree on fascinations - dreadful inventions. Wear a hat or don’t bother!

Fascinators and pashminas are the most hideous things worn by women over the last 2 decades.

Wear a coat that matches the length of your dress. It can be a lightweight summer coat. My sister wore a gorgeous lace type of coat over a fitted shift recently. Sounds awful, looked gorgeous. Or a jacket, although that’s harder to carry off.

And fascinators - don’t get me started on those abominations.

@DillDanding my dress is ankle length beaded. Any idea where to get a coat. Jacket will be hideous!

Do a new thread with a picture of your dress and we will see if we can find something. If it's a long dress perhaps a light blazer. You would wear it on your shoulders without putting your hands through.

@Theblacksheepandme no, you didn't miss the bit about an Asian wedding because there was no mention of it. My silly phone deleted the first half of the sentence which stated 'if you were to go to a fancy wedding then it's not too much for an Asian wedding'
