Thanks to Deftly for the thread title. Let's hope there's more Gucci and Chanel.....fewer coat dresses..,.

I saw this picture today, not sure when it’s from but a Womens Institute visit where the knife got stuck in the cake and HM had to be helped out by Anne. Just a nice happy pic on the queens 70 year anniversary 👸

Maxima was 50 last year so I looked at what was done for her big birthday - some new photos, one interview and a televised concert involving a musical birthday cake(?!?) that she, Wax and the girls attended. And she's Queen! The Mary love-in is very strange.

Anne was at the Calcutta Cup match yesterday. She too looked tiny. Much smaller than she used to be. Though she is in her 70s.

The Norwegian royals have shared photos of HMQ on state visits to King Harald, his father and his grandfather. It really makes you realise how long she's been around!

I think she and King Harald are maybe third cousins with some degree of removal? Both descend from Edward VII.

If anyone fancies breaking out the champers and donning their tiara this evening....I got a job today! Apparently, DH says that buying a lucky dip for the lottery doesn't qualify as a "career plan" so off I toddled and snagged a teaching job. So cheers, after dry January the bubbles are most welcome this evening Grin

It was me! I found a suit in Jigsaw, but I'll have a look. I've never bought anything from there. Would you recommend?

The Queen and King Harald are related several ways, but the closest is second cousins. Their grandparents, Queen Maud of Norway and King George V were sister and brother.

The Sunday Times magazine has a montage of covers celebrating its 60th birthday today. One is of Charles and Diana just after their wedding. The photo itself is just after their engagement.
I think it is the worst photo of Diana I have ever seen. Shock
Her eyes look dead.
Could someone do a link please and I'd love your thoughts on it.
I wonder who the photographer, stylist and make up artist were ?
