Date I say it? I'm finding all these photos of CPM are getting a bit much now. Sure, release a few for her 50th like the way Kate did for her 40th but it now seems like every day brings new photos of her in expensive gowns and adopting odd poses.

And there's also an entire exhibition about her life! It's a nice painting but I can't help but feel people in her native Australia are rolling their eyes 😆

I agree @KillingMeDeftly, royals tread a fine line between being all glamorous and living their fabulous royal-ness v appearing tone deaf/out of touch with their nation.

Fred was 50 a few years ago - I recall there was a big party but I don't remember an exhibition about his life and times, and he's the Crown Prince!

But I don't know what level of popularity Mary enjoys in Denmark - is she loved like Maxima or disliked like Letizia?

At a guess Max comes across as warm, exuberant and likeable, where Leti sometimes seems aloof and cold. Only in photos though, obviously I don’t know them personally. Or do I…? 🤫

In recent years I think it's to do with the financial scandals the Spanish RF were involved in. And then that incident with Queen Sofia and the princesses.

But even before that, going back to the mid-00s I remember a few Spanish friends talking very disparagingly of her. Something along the lines of Felipe being able to have anyone but he chose a divorced newsreader etc etc. A bit like when Harry got engaged so I guess snobbery is universal!

Oh dear. I really don't like the uniform.
White shirts and denim? Tonal outfits may have been better. They look as if they're on a dvd cover for a 90s family comedy drama. Albeit a wealthy family....

Fred and the two older kids don't look convinced by the setup 😆 The photo is from the Danish royal family's Instagram account, which has been about 99% CPM over the past week or so! I feel a bit uncharitable to say it but she certainly does seem to think a lot of herself.

What's with the shiny black boots/shoes? Better than barefoot, at least.
