What's the most amount of points you've had on a Boots loyalty card?

What's the most amount of points you've ever racked up and what have you spent those points on?

About £80, which I spent on kids clothes.

user97533676 · 13/01/2022 04:32

I'm at about £150 or so now. Just save save save it.

roxisolerenshaw · 13/01/2022 04:41

I had about £55 on my Boots card which I spent last weekend. I usually save them over a year

Pinkflipflop85 · 13/01/2022 06:10

@foxgoosefinch

I used to buy a ton of stuff each year at their Christmas shopping events when they used to do the really good points offers - would build up about £60 worth of points and then use it on makeup each time. Since they stopped being so generous with the points and stopped the Christmas events I don’t bother any more!
That's how I used to get so many. Loved the Xmas shopping events!

I had 98 on mine saved over a year or so & I spent a good few of them before Christmas on presents for teen dd & some skincare for me
I had been hoping to buy myself Tom Ford perfume so will do that this year for sure

I have about 20 on the card now so will keep going

I think boots have the most generous loyalty scheme

TeaMeBasil · 13/01/2022 07:40

I think it's one of the best schemes, you actually feel there's a point rather than being offered random little gifts or special offers that aren't that special.

I think my only criticism would be that it'd be nice to be able to use them as part payment towards something rather than only being able to buy something totally in points.

I'm at about £87 & starting to think about what to spend it on!

KiloWhat · 13/01/2022 07:42

About £100. I was going to save it for Christmas but instead bought a chanel quad and spent the rest on lunches!

NightmareSlashDelightful · 13/01/2022 07:47

I usually get it to about £100, £120 and buy some fragrance for me or DH.

It is quite a generous scheme but then Boots is expensive generally so you do pay for it one way or another.

I didn’t know Boots sold Woodwick candles though…

doadeer · 13/01/2022 07:49

I've got £110 currently ☺️

i work for them and agreed it would be nice if the company allowed part payments , but sadly they dont , there is no feature on the till to do it , we have had customers sometimes insisting they have been able to part pay in the past , but it must have been a long time ago as iv worked for them 19 years and its never been able to be done

what you can do is if you have a lot of points on your card and your buying loads of different items is splilt the transactions into two , using as much points as possible on one and paying your own money for the other

AtillatheHun · 13/01/2022 07:53

I can never get past about £69 without spending. Last points splurge was on eyelash serum and eyebrow serum, both of which truly work but only for as long as you use them. They’re stupidly £££ so I think I’ve found my rolling treat :)

PeachMelba78 · 13/01/2022 07:54

Over £300, I spent it on a Phillips Lumea. Around £60 at the moment.

Theredjellybean · 13/01/2022 07:59

I save through the year and then use them to buy sunscreen when we go on holiday.
I have to have an expensive brand as I'm. Allergic to most and have roseaca, there are six of us, all adults /teens do sunscreen for a two week holiday is alot.
With less holidays the last few years I have £250, so used it to buy make up and perfume for my dds Christmas stockings.

MsSquiz · 13/01/2022 08:07

I just looked at mine because I keep spending in Boots but rarely spend the points and I have £286.73.
DH says I treat it better than my savings account! 😂

knackeredcat · 13/01/2022 10:10

When I get to around the £75 mark I usually spend on perfume or premium beauty. Currently sitting at just under £30

JessicaPeach · 13/01/2022 10:23

I bought a Lumea with mine too and I'm back up to £120 now. I like to buy something 'big' with my points

IvorCutler · 13/01/2022 15:53

Enough for perfume. I think €90s worth.
