Can be something you’ve only recently had or something you’ve had for ages. Currently mine is an oh so lovely, snuggly and warm long dark grey cardigan from H&M- chic it isn’t but it makes me happy every time I wear it!

Generally the last thing I bought… currently a long, cream teddy coat which is sooo cosy and away from my usual black

Riverlee · 07/01/2022 20:51

I love a recent jumper I purchased from White Stuff. Having two compliments on its first two outings helped! Its warm, but not heavy.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 08/01/2022 00:23

The thing I wear most is a grey boyfriend type alpaca knit cardigan from Arket. I wear it every evening with “lounge pants” and it is so cosy - the style doesn’t especially suit me because I am quite pear shaped but I love it. I bought it dirt cheap on Depop but they do the same one every year.

DP bought me cashmere socks for Christmas and they are my absolute fave right now. Otherwise a leopard print faux fur coat I bought in the ASOS sale about ten years ago. It sparks so much joy and cost per wear is about 1p.

Inthesameboatatmo · 08/01/2022 07:28

The thing I'm wearing all the time is a uniqlo waffle dress and m&s ivy skinny jeans combo. I absolutely love the combination of the two

Hedonism · 08/01/2022 07:49

My new jeans. I bought them last month when I was meant to be Christmas shopping for other people Blush I accidentally picked up a high waisted pair and I love them!

MintMe · 08/01/2022 07:58

I bought a bottle green swing coat from Hobbs before Christmas and I love it. I instantly look smarter and more polished as soon as I put it on, and it looks great with blonde hair and a burgundy bobble hat.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/01/2022 08:40

Old black leather jacket. I feel more 'me' in it, whatever else I'm wearing.

AllSaints silk mix midi dress - fearfully expensive but I just had to have it. Excellent swishing opportunities.

RubaiyatOfAnyone · 08/01/2022 08:47

One i’ve had forever - a long grey fleece tube skirt. Sounds awful, looks fine, feels like a comforting duvet you can legally wear out of the house. Wear if whenever i feel in need of comfort.

New - i spent the last year losing a stone of baby weight (baby is now 2) and at christmas i wore a sparkly teal velvet dress in size 12 which made me feel absolutely wonderful.

FindingMeno · 08/01/2022 08:49

Wool mix black jacket from a charity shop that fits perfectly, and is so flattering and comfortable.
I can wear it over a multitude of sins and still look good.

Branleuse · 08/01/2022 08:59

Its so hard to choose but i did recently buy a boxy corduroy shirt jacket in dark bluey green, sort of jewel colour in tesco not long ago and i really love it and im getting so much wear from it considering it was about £20

TroysMammy · 08/01/2022 09:05

My panda top. It's warm and fluffy, has a hood with panda ears on top and a pouch so I can wander around the house in the knowledge that I know where my glasses are and don't need to hunt for them. If I wear anything else I put my glasses in random places.

TheAnswerIsDontThinkAboutIt · 08/01/2022 09:10

Probably my Donegal coatigans (hate the word, love the item!) from Celtic & Co. I have two. Painfully expensive but cost per wear must be low by now cos I live in them over the winters. So warm, lovely thick neppy wool, non-bulky, go with everything, great to throw on over PJs in the evening / morning.

Supersimkin2 · 08/01/2022 09:39

Rainbow striped oversize cashmere from M&S. Powerful antidote to grey January.

Red men’s ski socks, teeny toes wriggle in satisfaction. Too big so nice to pad around in.

Not together.

EllaPaella · 08/01/2022 12:50

I have three things (sorry!)
My Allsaints cargo leather jacket - an absolute wardrobe staple for me, my jeans collection (I rarely wear anything other than jeans) and my Eribe Westray jumper which is new but absolutely beautiful and the nicest piece of knitwear I've ever owned.

MarshaBradyo · 08/01/2022 12:54

Hard to pick just one

But huge Isabel Marant cashmere scarf, soft, light and incredibly warm

(Also some legres boots, Celine box and new wool cap)

IamGusFring · 08/01/2022 13:25

My cashmere floor length dressing gown from White Company found in an outlet at a great price . Kept for the evening Tv watching 😂

Heelancoo · 08/01/2022 23:26

Oooh! They all sound wonderful! Loving the fact so many of them are comfy cosy items😍 keep thinking I should be more fashionista but I do love soft cosy clothes 🥰

Mine is currently a gassato cashmere orange sweater. It is kitten-soft. I love the bright colour and the detailing on it. It's so versatile I have worn it for lunches with friends, NYE at a friend's house, Christmas Day, a work meeting, a family day out. I can hardly bear to take it off. Also a recently bought silky bamboo paisley shirt that I wear all the time. Looks smart with dress trousers, tucked in but quite hippyish loose over jeans. I just love it.

100problems · 09/01/2022 00:52

Currently a black Hush biker sweatshirt with a flock star.

Giggorata · 09/01/2022 02:32

I can't really say just one is my favourite… but I will pick my ages old grey alpaca wool coat. (At least 35 years old)
It is long and has no fastenings. I can waft about in it, but it looks quite respectable.
I have slept under it on occasion and it is really warm.
The lining went, so I had a scarlet replacement lining done, the cuffs started to go a bit, so I had them and the collar covered in thick black velvet.
When it finally does wear out, I will mourn it as a lost friend.

Westerman · 09/01/2022 04:33

A denim blazer I got on eBay a few years ago for about a fiver. Goes with skirts, dresses and trousers and I just love it.

I bought the same, after seeing it on a thread here. And I absolutely love it for the exact same reasons.

This is why I sometimes allow impulse purchases if I see something that is perfect that I loveSmile

I think I have the same top. Love mine too.
WinchGirl · 09/01/2022 09:42

Recently - M&S Sienna jeans, they are fab and comfy and look great.
Old - My knee high black suede heeled boots, I know that they are no longer in favour, but I love 'em. They are so comfortable and easy to walk in.

Milomonster · 09/01/2022 09:56

My pink and white quilted coat from Sea New York. It’s a very unusual piece and utterly gorgeous. I feel wonderful wearing it.
