Is £58 too much for a jumper?

I've ordered a new jumper from Jigsaw in the sale. Original cost £145.

I thought it was around the £50 mark, but it has arrived today and cost £58. I think I must have rounded it down in my head.

It's cashmere blend, looks lovely and is very soft, but now I am beating myself up about the price.

Would you keep it? I'm OK financially, have about 10k savings, own my own car, have a mortgage etc.

I feel off about it which is a shame. It must be guilt but I don't know why!! I'm the type of person who only pays £11 for a haircut Grin

Can someone tell me I can treat myself?

I'm not a fan of the actual jumper, but would still say at £58 it's a bargain. I've paid many times that for cashmere jumpers.

You need internet strangers to validate your spending?
This us silly. A sixty quid jumper will be a fortune to some and durr cheap to others.

You need to own your feelings.

Ooh lovely, keep it 👍🏻

Keep it, enjoy it and buy another one next year and the year after and……

Get a cashmere comb (not expensive on Amazon) for the bobbling. Cashmere is meant to bobble. It gets finer over the years because you remove the bobbles but it still looks beautiful and keeps you warm without overheating you.

What a stylish jumper! Don’t think of the extra £8 you paid but what you saved. You’ll get good use from it. It’s really ok to treat your lovely self. I hope you aren’t so tough on yourself in other areas of your life. Enjoy wearing it! Cheaper jumpers are false economy. I adore wearing knitwear and alway but good stuff in the sales. I’m yet to throw anything out.

I have bought this very jumper! It is lovely and beautifully soft and comfortable and will last for ages as long as you're careful washing it.

You may have been confused about the price as it is about £10 cheaper in another colourway, but the blue is by far the nicer.

Enjoy it and get lots of wear from it and it will be a good buy.
