Rosacea treatment

Hi,

I've had rosacea for around 6 years. It flares up sometimes worse than other times, but for the past year it's been especially bad. I suffer on my cheeks the most & one side worse than the other. They are always very red & I also have acne like spots only on my cheeks. The rest of my skin is clear.
I've been looking into some medicated gel,
As I feel I've tried all sorts of facial products. Could I have some opinions or recommendations on what has worked for others?
Many thanks

CeraVe wash and moisturiser has all but cured my rosacea.

Dermatica cleared mine up. Soolantra by itself didn't work for me.

Despite the advice to always wear spf etc, I actually find mine gets better in the sun - it seems to dry up / a light tan replaced the redness. But then every winter I'm back to where I started.

I was advised that spf is required all year round with roseacea as unfortunately your skin is more at risk of damage at a cellular level?

Rosex cream (antibiotic gel) cleared it up for me but it took a few months. Prescribed by my GP. When it had gone the GP started prescribing Skinoren (Azelaic acid) cream instead, and I put that on twice a day and my skin has never looked or felt better. I get two tubes at a time prescribed and it lasts me months. I did have a fairly mild case, and my main symptoms were spots rather than too much redness.

I also switched to cetaphil cleanser (blue pump), and I use the cetaphil spf50 daily moisturiser and their rich night cream, and that seems to help too.
