What do you do about keys, phone, lip balm?

I had a great night in a pub seeing a band last night. I'd originally put a dress on but changed back to jeans at the last minute because I needed pockets.

I don't want a bag in that kind of environment. I can't dance with it and I don't want to put it down.

There's only 2 options really, a dress with pockets or a bag! A small cross body bag is my bag of choice for a night out. It doesn't get lodt/left behind and it's small so therefore light.

Leave your phone at home and out your front door key in your bra.

That's what I used to do as a student back in the day. I had a tiny little purse for my money because back on them days you wouldn't dare take your card out at night.

A small cross the body bag could be the solution.

Why do you think they ruin every outfit? I'm not being defensive I'm just wondering what it is about them that you don't like? What about a small shoulder bag? Or if your style is more of a bum bag worn as a shoulder bag?

They cut across your busy running the line and in afraid for me they shout mum who doesn't get out much which is exactly what I am

I have no problems with small cross-body bag but I treated myself to a bandolier phone case which allows me to have my phone, it has a slot for a credit card but I use the wallet on my phone and I tuck a £20 note in the slot. I have a keysafe at home to keep the keys in.

Tiny, nice cross body bag - mine is an old one from Fossil, no bigger than a purse, but I aspire to a Vivienne Westwood one.

No it doesn't. And even if it did it's still a million miles better than the most boring item of clothing on the planet worn with the second most boring item.

Mum who doesn't get out much! 😂 I've never heard them described as that before, what if you wear them and aren't a mum????

But if you're worried about ruining the lines/look of your outfit then surely putting loads of stuff in pockets isn't a good solution either...? My jeans look terrible if I actually use the pockets (especially with the size of a modern phone) and so do most women's clothes, I thought it was generally accepted that that's why women carry bags!

Look for a dress with pockets. Wear a leather jacket or a velvet blazer - pockets. Bumbag?

Bag with a long chain style strap

This is why I ALWAYS buy dresses or skirts with decent pockets lol. That wrist bag idea is genius ... except when I remember how I dance

A nice cross body bag is miles better than shoving everything into your pockets OP.

Yikes. I'm not a mum and I get out quite a lot.

I have a number of nice small cross body bags, and none of them spoils an outfit to the same degree as not actually wearing it and putting jeans on instead!
