I know this gets asked a lot but… Desperately looking for foundation for pale skin!

Hi, I usually use Garnier BB cream (light) but following a skin condition I’m looking for slightly more coverage.

I’ve searched previous threads but couldn’t really find an answer. I have pale combination (slightly dry, slightly oily in places) skin. As in: really quite pale. Hyperpigmentation in places.

I don’t like that very “matte” look and prefer something dewy/glowy if that makes sense.

I once tried EL double wear but found it quite matte? Though maybe I tried the wrong shade.

I can’t really go to large department stores at the moment but I do have a Boots nearby. Happy to spend upto £30.

Would be really grateful for any tips🙂

I just bought Charlotte tilbury wonderglow primer and the Hollywood and flawless filter.

I put some loose powder over the top. I am mixed race but quite pale with freckles. I like the finish it's given. Glowy, without being sparkly and a bit of coverage.

My skin feels really nice too.

Lushplease · 16/12/2021 09:49

Maybelline Fit Me us under £10 and is great on my very pale skin.
They do colours that suit warm pale/cool pale or with neutral tones.
Good coverage and suitable for dry skin with oily patches.
I've tried more expensive foundations but prefer this definitely.

Darkpheonix · 16/12/2021 09:50

Sorry. Missed your budget.

Have you tried glossing skin tint?

Darkpheonix · 16/12/2021 09:51

Glossier not glossing.

BunniesBunniesBunnies · 16/12/2021 09:55

Thanks for the recommendations! Do you apply anything underneath? I usually find with my BB cream I need to
Moisturise first or it doesn’t look right. Is that normal? Should I use primer instead?

EL futurist is beautiful
If you want cheaper then revolution conceal and glow

NMC2022 · 16/12/2021 10:03

This is the revolution conceal and hydrate which is nice too (I have dry skin)

I know this gets asked a lot but… Desperately looking for foundation for pale skin!

I have just discovered Il makiage, There's an advert, which is way over the top and made it a bit unbelievable but I was recommended it and it's actually the best I've used. There's a quiz to find your shade, which again, I was sceptical, but it's a perfect shade.

Definitely worth a try.

It is Smile and it's ALL foundation!!! I must admit the EL futurist is my absolute fave, it is just really creamy and sort of plumping but the revolution ones are a good cheaper alternative
karmakameleon · 16/12/2021 10:29

I’ve started using dcypher who personalise foundation to your skin colour as had trouble colour matching. You can choose level of coverage and how dewy/matt you want it. They’ll send a sample for about £3 so you can try before you commit to a full size.

Woolly17 · 16/12/2021 10:41

My skin is temperamental about most foundations but I've found No7 stay perfect superlight works really well. I am also v pale (people call me snow white) and use one of the lightest colours (cool vanilla) in the summer as it matches my tan. In winter I use benefit

NovRainbow5 · 16/12/2021 10:53

Illamasqua foundation is amazing. I’m extremely pale and have never had a problem finding a shade to suit me

BusterGonad · 16/12/2021 11:52

NMC2022 what eyeshadows are you wearing in your photo? I have green in my eyes and feel that those colours would bring out the greens for me too. It looks so lovely.

Porridgeislife · 16/12/2021 11:55

I’m very pale and also love Estée Lauder Futurist. They do very pale shades in pink/yellow/neutral varieties which is great as you get an actual choice. I’m neutral toned but find pale shades often veer too pink or yellow.

NARS also do an extremely pale shade in their Sheer Glow formulation.

OldTinHat · 16/12/2021 11:57

Definitely try Boots and speak to a no.7 consultant. They have a gadget to check your skin shade and then you can tell them what you want from a foundation and away you go.

it’s a sort of copy of a look Sam chapman did I used a matte brown all over and above crease, a purple matte in the crease and blended, a copper shimmer on the lid and then a kind of charcoal shade in the outer corner Matte brown and purple under the eye again

Mix of palettes and I was trying to copy this!

@BusterGonad if you were after a new palette, this is the ciate I am woman one and it's great for green eyes

Hadtochangebutnoideas · 16/12/2021 12:08

Fenty Beauty has given me the best colour match (and I’ve tried loads!) It’s usually available in larger boots stores.

BusterGonad · 16/12/2021 12:33

Thank you NMC2022. 😊

NameChangeCity123 · 16/12/2021 13:32

I am the exact same and recommend Nars sheer glow or natural radiant long wear. They are about £32 but can often find offers on their site for money off and you can buy via boots too.

I am very pale (Mac nc15) and get Mont Blanc from Nars which is perfect

peanutbuttertoasty · 16/12/2021 13:40

Laura Mercier is the only one I've found that's pale enough for me.

Howshouldibehave · 16/12/2021 13:43

@NMC2022 can I ask what shade of foundation you wear from revolution conceal and hydrate? You look a similar skin tone to me!

BunniesBunniesBunnies · 16/12/2021 15:18

@NMC2022 thanks so much for the advice, I actually went past a counter today and tried on the futurist - it’s so lovely I had to get it! Christmas present to myself🤩😁 Thanks again!

I'm not by the bottle but it's either F0.5 or F1!
