Make up product that make you glow / look alive

I’ve realised that all my make up products are matte and make me look a bit dead / one dimensional. I’d like to add one or two products that bring some life back into my face. Please share the one make up product you use that makes you look glowing, or helps you to look more alive!
Unfortunately I don’t have any any recommendations 🤣

I'm pasty so isle of paradise tan drops which you mix with your moisturiser really helps me look a bit less dead.

Bare Minerals Illuminating Mineral Veil, although it’s no longer on their website so I fear it’s been discontinued.

Second choice is Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter.

domesticslattern · 08/12/2021 21:56

Glossier future dew or haloscope
Nars orgasm blusher
Bobbi Brown do a subtly sparkly illuminating face powder too
and yet I still look like death most days Grin

AllTheSunshine · 08/12/2021 22:01

Retinol and Clarins tanning drops.

DelphiniumBlue · 08/12/2021 22:06

Trinny London BFF, and a little Lip to Cheek colour too.

GiveYourHeadAWobble · 08/12/2021 22:12

No7 Highlighting drops.

In the winter, when my skin is dull, I add one drop to my foundation to give a nice glow.

In the summer I use it like a highlighter - corners of eyes, cheekbones, Cupid’s bow etc.

Another vote for Glossier Future Dew. I LOVE IT! Their Cloud Paint blusher is also excellent.

WingingItSince1973 · 08/12/2021 22:22

Interested in this too but limited budget. Anyone have any mid price/low price suggestions please?.

naynayisay · 08/12/2021 22:23

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter and the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder.

NotAshamedToFancyTheGrinch · 08/12/2021 22:23

YSL blur primer. It’s sparkly

OxanaVorontsova · 08/12/2021 22:31

Tan luxe super glow serum
Fenty bronzer
Vitamin c serum

PlayItCool · 09/12/2021 06:54

I stopped using face powder for this reason and switched to cream blusher. Made a big difference. I use blotting papers to remove any oil or shine. Even when I put a tiny bit of powder on now it just instantly makes me look dull and flat (and it's a nice light Chantecaille powder!)

Lagirl20 · 09/12/2021 08:33

All brilliant suggestions, thanks everyone! I will step away from the matte powder immediately 🤣

You can get minis of the Hollywood filter for £13.
jelliedeells · 09/12/2021 08:54

Charlotte tilbury Hollywood filter

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 09/12/2021 10:13

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. I have the Dim Light one and despite the name I find it's great for giving a subtle glow.

I second this^ But I'm now going to look into the CT Hollywood Filter. Baaaa....

imstilljenny2 · 09/12/2021 10:44

How do you all apply the CT Flawless Filter? It just kind of makes my skin look a bit waxy and shiny when I use it. I apply to the high points of my cheekbones, under my eyebrows and Cupid's bow.

VitalsStable · 09/12/2021 11:01

Emma Hardie or YsSL primer, Armani foundation and NARS orgasm blusher then a tiny bit of highlighter or shine Charlotte tilbury eye make up on the inside corners of your eyes.

Fritilleries · 09/12/2021 15:26

Super facialist rose hydrate/radiance and then a swipe each side with Pixi blush stick in Fleur. It's a killer combination. I just add mascara and brow gel and that's it. Nothing else.

Sounds like you've got quite a light shade and are using it like a highlighter. Mine is one shade darker than my skin tone and I just use it on my cheeks and temples like foundation. Well, not quite as much as foundation but I don't just dot it on to my cheekbones.
TheRemotePart · 09/12/2021 18:48

Hydraluminous No7 is a great dupe for YSL touche eclat. I’m actually not going to bother replacing my touche eclat foundation.
No7 are doing a hydralum gift box for £35 and you get a card to get a free foundation with it!
Agree with others - a liquid blusher patted in, looks more dewy
YSL touche eclat PEN is lovely, but NOT a concealer! I dab it along WITH my concealer and pat it in.
Don’t “bake “ anything.
Set only your oily bits as even good powder will sit in lines.
Highlighter gently on cheek bones ( tiny) , eye corners and dab under eyebrow arch.

NO7 do lovely BB creams and I also live their perfect protect serum foundation too. It’s got factor 50, serum already in it and is a lovely natural finish

WeAreTheWeirdosMister · 09/12/2021 18:51

Swap your face powder to Benefit Dandelion powder it's a blush but very light with a glow to it.

nordica · 09/12/2021 18:55

Any blusher. I apply it last and it makes such a difference!
