The first one

MrsFlora · 17/12/2007 21:07

1st one

TheQueenSPeach · 17/12/2007 21:08

The latter. Huge sweeping statement here but sahms mostly wear jeans and I don't like smart coats with jeans. The former is gorgeous but I'd only really wear it for work.

yogimum · 17/12/2007 21:08

I like both of them but If it was for me (I should be so lucky) I would choose the second one just because Its more casual though not sure white would be a great colour, have ds sticky hands all over me.

ja9ladiesdancing · 17/12/2007 21:08

both are gorgeous.

i'd get the first one. i like it better and i wouldn't suit the belt in the middle of the second - make me look too frumpy.

frostythesnowmum · 17/12/2007 21:08

the second one but then I hate high collars

walkinginaWILKIEwonderland · 17/12/2007 21:09

First one although both not great colours for sticky fingers!

Ledodgy · 17/12/2007 21:09

The first one the second one looks cheap imo.

TheTwelveDAISYOfChristmas · 17/12/2007 21:09

the first one looks v glam, and doesn't look like it will date too badly, but not sure of the colour.
The second looks a bit snowsuity and adolescent iyswim, and white, with kids....recipe for disaster

about the jeans comment. Speak for yourself!

I like the high collar one, it is much smarter. But do you have a long neck? That would drive me nuts, bumping my chin!

oxocube · 17/12/2007 21:12

Number one is very nice

Hulababy · 17/12/2007 21:18

I prefer the first one.

VanillaPumpkin · 17/12/2007 21:23

First one! I think the second one looks cheap.
I think smart coats look good with jeans as long as not with trainers as footwear. You need a boot or a shoe I think.

norkmaiden · 17/12/2007 21:25

first one, by a mile. Lucky you!

PortAndLemonaid · 17/12/2007 21:26

Second one would be very unforgiving if you were generally a bit overweight, first one if you had norks.

Neither of them would suit me (in style or in colour), but in the abstract I'd say the first one.

pootleflump · 17/12/2007 21:27

The first one is lovely, the second one is absolutely horrendous imo, I wouldn't have thought it possible for one person to like both of these.

lizandlulu · 17/12/2007 21:28

if you can afford to buy the first one, you can afford to buy both
the first one is georgous, but maybe not for everyday wear, and the second is more casual, to wear with jeans.
i agree with thequeenspeach, i dislike smart coats with jeans.
so really you need both!

PanicPressiePants · 17/12/2007 21:42

1st one lovely, 2nd one looks like a teenager would wear it, and not a woman

Quattrocento · 17/12/2007 21:45

Neither

Unhelpful I am

fairylights · 17/12/2007 21:47

the first one by miles. Second one looks like its worth a lot less than its price tag. lucky you, enjoy your jacket!

Magrat · 17/12/2007 21:59

god the 2nd one looks like it belongs with a shell suit

the first one is better .. but not keen .. the colour would not be practical really for a SAHM (unless its a special going out coat of course)

why burberry btw?

NowTheHollyBearsABero · 17/12/2007 22:01

Neither - but if I had to, the first one.

Magrat · 17/12/2007 22:01

I'd look at [http://www.hobbs.co.uk/index.cfm?page=1166 hobbs coats]] personally
