peanutbear · 17/12/2007 22:03

first one and i am a sahm that wears jeans

its a lovely coat enjoy it

Magrat · 17/12/2007 22:04

god hobbs is especially old lady at the mo isn't it

Quattrocento · 17/12/2007 22:05

Hobbs are good but a teensy bit middle aged?

I speak as one who shops there all the time (hastily not wanting to offend)

Don't you think the Karen Millen coats are lovely?

Burberry's supposed to be making a valiant comeback, I spose.

Pannacotta · 17/12/2007 22:06

Neither, sorry but think neither look like flattering cuts.

ggirlsbells · 17/12/2007 22:10

I'm not keen on either of the burberry ones, although if I had to pick it would be the first one.
I prefer the Karen Millen ones.

Ridiculous prices for the burberry ones imo.

hatwoman · 17/12/2007 22:12

first one is lovely but I wouldn;t buy it, I wouldn't feel particularly comfortable in it - it's basically too, what I would call, posey. and also too expensive - I just couldn;t justify it to myself.

Eliza2 · 18/12/2007 11:03

Number one looks gorgeous.

tortoiseSHELL · 18/12/2007 11:06

Don't like either - the first one looks like a military coat, and don't like the collar, the second one looks a bit like a shell suit!

I'd look for the same style eslewhere but cheaper so I could have both. One is casual, the other smart.

But the white one is dry clean only ... h'm ...

EniDeepMidwinter · 18/12/2007 11:18

the first one

tbh neither

I've seen much nicer coats for the money

EniDeepMidwinter · 18/12/2007 11:19

the colour of the first one is hideous and would nothing for anyone unless maybe if you were very dark skinned

robin3 · 18/12/2007 11:22

would love the first one but would probably get dirty really fast

orangina · 18/12/2007 11:29

think the first one would smarten up a not too smart outfit, but with the second you would really need to have nice clothes underneath to pull it off....
(by smart I do of course mean well cut jeans not covered in snot/banana/yoghurt/puke/chocolate, etc with good shoes/boots....)

first one but I'd check the neck, that's a very high collar and might be uncomfortable if you need to look down!

First one is much nicer and more classic (don't like the colour of either of them though, but like the cut).

claricebeansmumhasnomincepies · 18/12/2007 17:45

Second one looks like it was made from a cheap duvet
