Are there no clothing offers with this any more or am I doing something wrong? All I have is £10 off Gary Barlow tickets Grin and some lifestyle discount. Don't even get in-store vouchers for food shops now.
I've been holding off buying a pair of jeans, In the hope of % off.

20% off clothes but for today only, so no good!

The alphabet range is stuff like a make up bag or a purse with the first letter of your name on the front. Lovely for a 10yr old but I would be Hmm if I got one as a Christmas present as an adult! Grin

Bokky · 12/12/2021 09:21

I got 20% off pyjamas. I'm disappointed in the whole calendar - I didn't get one exciting offer. I'd have been happy with a free drink! Just something! DM keeps M&S in business with the amount she spends in there and the best offer she got was the free hand gel.

Eaumyword · 12/12/2021 09:23

Same, I'd have been so excited by something (anything) free!
I've deleted the app now. Thanks all for making this an entertaining experience although not for quite the right reasons!Grin

JaceLancs · 12/12/2021 09:50

I got the alphabet offer today as well - not one that will tempt me to buy anything

ArabeI · 12/12/2021 09:55

Alphabet range is products like the toiletry bags with a personalised, first initial, letter, printed on.

20% off shoes and bags today.

IamGusFring · 12/12/2021 09:59

20% off footwear and bags - finally ! I want to get an extra pair of boots .

SunsetSmartmeter · 12/12/2021 10:22

15% off clothing for me. Gawd knows why as they gave me 20% off clothing less than a week ago & I got all I wanted then 🤷🏼‍♀️

@SusannaQueen Yes, that's the M&S advent calendar over with for another year. It runs for less than half of actual advent, but I think we can all agree that it's died a death & not before time 😀

@Decaffe I'd you're near to a store re-order it all with the discount then return the original stuff within 35 days 😎

MadisonAvenue · 12/12/2021 10:24

@LBB2020

Last day of the advent calendar and I got the Holly Willoughby competition! Hmm
Me too, and the chance of a message from someone I’ve never heard of who is apparently a rugby player.
ScouseQueen · 12/12/2021 10:27

I got the 'free winter day out' offer today. Will look at the options for that later. I haven't found this too bad on the whole, I wasn't paying for it and it's given me 20% off clothes which I used. So I can cope with unwanted Gary or Holly along the way. Smile

Nospringchickendipper · 12/12/2021 11:00

I got the free winter ticket today but it won’t let me access the site to see what is available plus I would have to buy another ticket unless I wanted to go on my own.
A bit disappointed really with the Advent Calendar.

LookdeepintotheParka · 12/12/2021 11:51

A whopping 15% off clothing today only - again no use as everything I want is out of stock online and I'm definitely not braving shops today.

Ah well...it's been an underwhelming 12 days of shitness which has given me and DH a laugh in the mornings Grin

Bootsnshoes · 12/12/2021 14:42

I enjoyed this thread. Made the calendar checking like an event. Thanks all.

AllTheUsernamesAreAlreadyTaken · 12/12/2021 15:07

20% off bags. Two weeks before Christmas I won’t be buying myself a new handbag. They’re too personal an item to choose for someone else as a gift so that’s that.

What an anti climax.

Roll on next year. I’m guessing 5% off bikinis for the 01/12/22

RockaLock · 12/12/2021 15:11

I finally got a decent offer - 20% off clothes.

But only valid today.

Sorry, M&S, but I'm not going to be pressured into buying something today. Make it valid for a week or so and you might get some more sales.

Nospringchickendipper · 13/12/2021 10:17

I wonder how they decided who got what offer was it based on your spending ,habits, age or location
Or was it just a random thing.

procrastinationstations · 13/12/2021 10:52

My spark a advent calendar is missing. Anyone else?

ScouseQueen · 13/12/2021 10:58

It's finished now. Only ran till 12 December
procrastinationstations · 13/12/2021 10:59

I never read anything properly....thank you! Didn't get many offers I wanted. Never mind.....

Eaumyword · 13/12/2021 13:59

I'm thinking genuinely random. I got really crap offers like 20% off mince pie mincemeat, 20% off brie (?!) and good old Gary and Holly W. I buy underwear, jumpers, nightwear, beauty/hair products and candles from them, plus I have a weekly hot drink and cake. Absolutely nothing tailored to encourage me to buy more, try something new or get a tiny freebie.
ilovebrie8 · 13/12/2021 17:32

What a let down .....M&S need to realise no one gives a fig about Gary B or Holly W please, please get rid of them...we want decent offers not that crap Grin

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 14/12/2021 08:54

The only decent offer I had was 25% off selected knitwear (but I wasn't looking to buy any so that went unused). Totally disappointing. I really think they have a customer base who would welcome gestures of appreciation too.

LadyEloise1 · 14/12/2021 09:49

I have no offers.
Zilch.
it's a stupid rewards scheme imho.
Style ( expensive marketing here in Ireland as it's introduced) and no substance.
Give me a simple rewards scheme please.
Someone git big money to dream this up. 🙄

toastfiend · 14/12/2021 10:04

I did use the 20% off clothes, mainly for my DM who asked me to order socks and pants for all the men in the family that she buys socks and pants for for Christmas. I added a jumper and skirt to the order for myself.

The app/website generally are hopeless, though. I wanted a knitted hoodie and a different skirt but it wouldn't let me check out with them as said they were out of stock. I thought at the time it was a glitch as the website/app might be busy with other people using their codes and the stock levels weren't updating frequently enough, but several days later those items are still showing as being in stock but when I add them to my bag I still can't check out with them. It's really frustrating as they're actually things I'd really like to buy.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 14/12/2021 10:22

On the subject of stock levels, I don't know how many items I've found on the M&S website (recently!) that I'd like to buy but they're OOS online. This seems to be a thing since the pandemic started, so I'm guessing they're just manufacturing less stock nowadays or have logistics issues? Our local M&S is quite big but carries a lot less stock than in the past, so I wouldn't necessarily bother going in-store in the hope of finding what I'm looking for. I would imagine they're losing a lot of custom though!

Yes, I have found this too. I wanted to buy DH a merino wool jumper but all the good colours were completely sold out in his size in all styles of jumpers. I'm finding sizes 10 and 12 regular are sold out in most of the stuff I'd like to buy too, same with clothes in the right size for DS.

I actually love M&S and think they've really nailed it with their women's clothes selection this year, but I find the website extremely frustrating. Our local store has lots of stock, but again, generally size 10 and 12 regular are sold out extremely quickly and only sizes at each end of the spectrum or in petite/long length are available so I'm also reluctant to make the trip into town to look as, whilst I'm generally confident the item will be in store, I can almost guarantee that it won't be in my size.
