Are there no clothing offers with this any more or am I doing something wrong? All I have is £10 off Gary Barlow tickets Grin and some lifestyle discount. Don't even get in-store vouchers for food shops now.
I've been holding off buying a pair of jeans, In the hope of % off.

20% off shoes and bags on the advent calendar, discount off t shirt multipacks, £5 off the gin snow globe thing and 20% off Xmas cards. That's better!

DontTellThemYourNamePike · 09/12/2021 08:28

20% merino and cashmere. I recognise that is a decent saving for those who like quality knitwear. But knitwear that needs delicate handling goes the same way as plants in my care. It dies a horrible death.

I am currently knitting a jumper using yarn that is 50% wool and which is supposedly 'easy care'. Let's see how that goes ...!

ParkheadParadise · 09/12/2021 09:23

15% off clothing that's something I will use.

baggies · 09/12/2021 10:41

@baggies

Fuming. Wanted to use my 1 day only 20% off clothing voucher. Spent ages choosing stuff for Xmas presents. Ordered 3 items. Get to checkout to be told they're all out of stock. No info given about out of stock or no size available when I picked items. What a waste of time.
Today I had an email from M&S saying oops you've left something in your bag. Check out today. I've looked and everything is now available. I'm going to ring them.
ArabeI · 09/12/2021 10:48

30% off the alphabet range today for me...

SunsetSmartmeter · 09/12/2021 11:59

30% off the alphabet range for me. I'm currently in M&S, I walked straight past it all en route to claim my free drink in the cafe!

Bokky · 09/12/2021 12:21

Alphabet for me too 🙄

RockaLock · 09/12/2021 12:48

I did actually go into my local M&S yesterday.

I had a look at the light-up chocolate box that I had a £5 off voucher for, but very quickly decided that £15 for a box of chocolates was a rip-off, and that the box was just gimmicky tat.

The rest of the store was so depressing that I just grabbed my free box of mince pies and left as soon as I could.

Money off the alphabet range for me too today. I have no idea what it even is, but I'm pretty sure I don't want it!

I shove my merino and cashmere in the machine on wool wash with woolite, comes out fine- just don't tumble dry!
Nowmum43 · 09/12/2021 16:19

I got £5 off the light up globe gin on Monday, suspiciously after I'd bought a bottle on Sunday Hmm
They have sent me a free cupcake offer today which will be good for my dd, if they have it available at my small M&S food store!

Nospringchickendipper · 09/12/2021 16:45

30% of Alphabet for me today. Tried to order something online and the mug with the letter I wanted is out of stock.

SunsetSmartmeter · 09/12/2021 17:08

I've just noticed I've got 20% off Christmas cards & the same off women's multipack t-shirts too - these offers seem to have appeared from no-where 🤔 Don't think they're related to the advent calendar though, just generic Sparks offers.

They used to issue food offers one fortnight & clothing the next fortnight & I'd always get an email to warn me but that seems to have stopped now...

APurpleSquirrel · 09/12/2021 17:34

20% off knitwear in the calendar today - not a big fan personally. Plus 20% off womens multipack tops & 20% off beauty. I want something free!!

DontTellThemYourNamePike · 09/12/2021 18:29

Thank you @ShaunaTheSheep maybe I need some luxury knitwear in my life!

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 09/12/2021 20:21

15% off clothing. Just spent half an hour trying to find something (anything!) that I'd like to buy. Nothing.

Fairyliz · 09/12/2021 20:49

It appears that we are not the only ones not interested in Gary B.
DD works at a large company in Manchester and earlier in the day they were offered a lot of free tickets to tonight’s concert.
Poor old Gary.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 09/12/2021 22:41

I got my free hand gel, pair of knickers & multi pack of opaque tights today with my Sparks card.
Would have cost me £13.50 if I'd had to pay.

hedgehogger1 · 09/12/2021 23:35

I couldn't find any bloody hand gel. My only freebie and it wasn't there

helloitsme3 · 10/12/2021 06:18

I've got a free winter day put attraction ticket. However most of the 'attractions' near me seem to be paintballing activities which I have no interest in.

Same here although I can do a treasure hunt which I'll probably redeem and do over the Christmas holidays
Puffincino · 10/12/2021 06:35

Got the free day out too but it's a total fail for me. Clicking through doesn't show me what choices are available without entering a code. I can see the code but it doesn't auto fill and won't copy paste. Frankly, M&S, asking me to memorise & type a code before I can see if I'm interested is the barrier that made me decide nah & close the whole thing.

Like others have said opening this daily to see just how rubbish it can get has become a little treat. I'm not sure this is what their marketing team hoped for. I do hope they're reading...

ShaunaTheSheep · 10/12/2021 06:37

Me too! My nearest is a 'free' ticket to a garden where entry is by charity donation Hmm.

20% off panettone also, might use that.

Eaumyword · 10/12/2021 06:46

A winter day Hmm
In the same category as my 20% off mincemeat, brie, personalised calendar, alphabet items - filed under no thanks Grin

Hepzibar · 10/12/2021 06:51

Same here. I do feel a bit ungrateful when I roll my eyes at the latest offering. The only one that had been of any use is the 15% off clothing but even the it was just for one day - at least give me a couple of days to spend it!

I spend a decent amount in M&S every week, most of my food shopping and a good amount of clothing. So they have a very good idea of my spending habits.

This is not about us though is it - it's just a very good marketing plan / after all they've got a nice long running thread on the most popular parenting site. It's a win win for them.

DontTellThemYourNamePike · 10/12/2021 07:29

Winter day out for me too. Mostly paintballing. There's one to a National Trust venue, but I get in for 'free' anyway as I'm a member.

One of my other offers, aside from the advent calendar, was £5 off food, so I spent that last night when I was buying chocolates and biscuits as Christmas gifts for a few people. Quite happy with that one.
