Just that really, faux leather trousers, over the knee boots, very interested to hear people’s opinions, as I actually think you can still look nice mid sixties wearing faux leather trousers as long as slim and minimal make up, not so sure with the over the knee boots though I think they are more for the younger ones

Wear whatever you want whatever your age, apart from the weight of others' expectations.

Whenever the hell you like for yourself

For everyone else, it's not your business

I'm 65 and totally agree age isn't a deciding factor in what you can wear. It is all a question of what suits you and your personality is as important as how you look.

Mercurial123 · 11/11/2021 12:47

I would say it depends on your style and not age. I wouldn't wear leather trousers or knee high boots simply because I personally don't like them.

Age and faux leather
said nobody ever.

Here have a haiku.

These threads always degenerate. If you say there is an upper age limit to look good in certain things, others will answer that you look good in anything at any age and you must be misogynist to even imply there are ages that go with styles. If the thread goes from S&B to active, then it's all over.

But first let me offend everyone by stating that over the knee boots are fine for any age as long as you are a prostitute.

I remember Theresa May's leather trousers creating a 5 min kerfuffle during her time as PM. Although I think that may have been more to do with their price.

Hmm Do sex workers, other than Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, really wear over the knee boots?
BIWI · 14/11/2021 17:13

If you like it, if you can afford it, if it fits, then wear it.

Stop with the ageism, FFS!

Lowlifeinhighplaces · 14/11/2021 18:11

My fav jeans developed holes in the top of the leg area after many years wear, just worn out really. So I bought some patches sawed them on, job done, just like I did back in the day. So AC/DC rubs up against some sheep and a KISS logo, do I care, no but my DH had a good laugh ( in a nice way).... the older I get the less I care

AuntieMarys · 14/11/2021 18:13

I wear faux leather skinnies and biker boots. I am 61. I have never liked over the knee boots

AuntieMarys · 14/11/2021 18:14
