hahahahaha
Is as much as I can do to change clothes seasonally.

walkinginawinterBundleland · 13/12/2007 12:21

have loads of lipsticks, eyeshadows etc but don't categorise them into seasons. can i just recommend my new mascara, the "maybelline define-a-lash, for separated, sensuously long lashes, no clumps", with ergonomic brush

MrsBadger · 13/12/2007 12:21

no

just extra concealer for winter eyebags

Ledodgy · 13/12/2007 12:22

I wear more natural make up in the summer like a natural lip gloss, a lighter eye shadow and a fake tan. In the winter I tend to wear deeper colours.

No foundation in summer. Darker lipstick and frosty eye shadows in winter bot only if I am going out.

fishie · 13/12/2007 12:24

yes different moisturiser and blusher, there might be a very very tiny sparkle in summer. possibly more use of darker eyeliner in winter.

ggirlsbells · 13/12/2007 12:25

no although would probably do without the tinted moisturiser in the summer if I have fake tan on.

kittylouise · 13/12/2007 12:25

Yes, definitely a different summer 'wardrobe' of make up. Paler summery eyeshadows, mostly creams, bronzer, tinted moisturiser instead of foundation, paler lipglosses. Winter powder eyeshadows in darker, wintery colours, foundation and powder, cream blusher, lipstick.

Can't wear turquiose eyeshadow in the winter, it looks insane (believe me I have tried).

It is all in the same bag, though, no seperate summer and winter make up bags (I'm not mad )

walkinginawinterBundleland · 13/12/2007 12:25

I'd say my make up (don't wear it that often apart from lipstick) differs more acc to whether it's day or evening stuff

awayinNaeManger · 13/12/2007 12:27

who can afford to buy that much makeup???
(I'm soo looking forward to getting some more clinique in my stocking from my MIL!!)

AwayInAMunker · 13/12/2007 12:29

Do you know, I think I do.

Paler eyeshadow in summer (have lovely Dior ones), deeper browns in winter. Have been using a more moisturising base too. Hmmmmmm...

Cod, have you done eyeliner on your test thingummy? Want to know about them.

coldtits · 13/12/2007 12:37

I have summer and winter hair.

ggirlsbells · 13/12/2007 12:38

lol coldtits

explain!

coldtits · 13/12/2007 12:51

My summer hair is a lighter colour and my winter hair is redder, and longer, and usually less curly.

nailpolish · 13/12/2007 12:53

im not really seasonal, i am such a fashion victim with make up i wear whatevers in at the time

i dont tend ot use bronzers in winter tho

StarofBethleCam · 13/12/2007 12:54

I have summer and winter castles

expatinscotland · 13/12/2007 12:56

i don't catergorise into seasons, either.

i mean, there are some looks that are for evening, more formal events and others which are for picnics and meeting friends for lunch on saturday afternoon.

right now, i lust after Stila's smoky eye palette.

i hope Santa Mamma and Pappa bring me that.

Hello expat, how are you

MellowChristmasEveryone · 13/12/2007 12:56

Summer - very little or no make-up, perhaps some colour on cheeks and mascara.

Winter - Foundation and blusher and mascara and concealer, actually anything to make the pale face and dark eyes go away!

charmkin · 13/12/2007 12:59

of course I do

pet hate -- bronzer in winter

expatinscotland · 13/12/2007 13:01

MUCH better today, Star! Never thought I would be, but wow! What a difference.

Mellow, I am .

My skin is so uneven there is no time, summer or winter, that I go without any make up at all unless I'm going hiking.

I have noticed that women in Glasgow seem to wear more makeup, or more obvious makeup.

This is good! Makeup is your friend!

I think I might try a brown mascara, but I'm going to go for a cheap one to try out how it looks first.

I even wore makeup during labour.

And, you're not supposed to, but I've worn makeup for surgery, too. Just no blusher, eye makeup or lippy so they think you're wearing no makeup at all.

But that's just not my style.

No nail polish is bad enough.
