Throwing this out to those FAR more knowledgeable than me about fragrance ( I know there are loads of you on here) ... I want to buy something citrussy and have a budget of £60 max. I tend to use Arden green tea mostly, I love there smell but it only lasts about 5 mins on me!!! Not only for me but as a gift too, same budget. Any ideas?

I have an ancient bottle of Anna sui- I absolutely love it, but I'm really scared they might not make it any more?!

Calyx by Clinique. My go to perfume for years.

TyrannysaurusXXrightshoarder · 06/11/2021 17:13

Ha, also just came to say Calyx! I love it.

I like Hermes eau d'orange verte, quite woody as well as orangey. It's a classic I think it came out in the 1970s

The Hermes fruit colognes are all nice and they do sample boxes. So pretty with a rainbow of colours in the display.

Roger et gallet Bois d'orange is great and they have a fig one and ginger ones I like too. It's a cheaper brand About £30 for 100ml so you could get two

I liked orange sanguine and grand neroli from atelier cologne when I had their sample set. Also liked bergamot 24 from le labo.

Ô de Lancôme is my favourite.

Croeso!

Lipsandlashes · 06/11/2021 17:28

Shay and Blue Blood Orange is really citrus smelling

crosstalk · 06/11/2021 18:24

You can find stuff online that isn't in shops. I found Le de Givenchy after 40 years - not what you're looking for, OP but a light gardenia smell.

Still amazed by the cost of perfumes/scents. Jo Malone (now taken over by another company) still has a mix and match.

dementedma · 06/11/2021 18:25

Good old Eau de Lancôme is fresh and a bit lemony

brokenbiscuitsx · 06/11/2021 18:32

What about CK IN2U bottle is a bit naff but it’s one of my faves and very citrusy

londonmummy1966 · 06/11/2021 18:42

Zara Amalfi is by Jo Malone and is probably the closest to Lime Basil and Mandarin at about half the price.

balonsz · 06/11/2021 18:43

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune.

I was thinking of this recently but couldn't remember the name. I love it, thank you.

Turns out they do still sell it and it's really cheap! And the bottle is super classy, so that's a bonus 🤣🤣 Looks like I've started my Christmas shopping already then.... with a lovely present for myself!

Annick Goutal EauD'Hadrien - divine
Over budget but worth saving for.

Just Jack Neroli ( a Tom Ford dupe ) lovely and cheap as chips.

Perfume Parlour do dupes of the expensive citrus scents.

I love citrus scents but dislike Jo Malone's Lime Basil and Mandarin and Ã’ de Lancome.

Roger and Gallet blood oranges, monotheme book of citruses at m and a. They have a fig and a mandarin which are also lovely.

I also now wear an essential oil diffuser pendant or bracelet so wear orange oil in that.

shrugitoff · 07/11/2021 09:49

I've not heard of an essential oil diffuser pendant @stayingaliveisawayoflife.
Could you post a link please to your one ?

BonesInTheOcean · 07/11/2021 09:52

stayingaliveisawayoflife · 07/11/2021 09:54

@shrugitoff This is the one I bought because I have to wear silver.
