Beauty Advent Calendars 2021 Thread 4 - One month to go! (Spoilers)

Hope nobody minds me starting the next thread but we'd hit 1000 posts!

F&M has arrived and something in it smells fantastic. I also got the note about the replacement product but I'm fairly sure that's the product that I'd seen advertised so it doesn't make any difference to me.

M&S is great value, as long as you'll use the stuff. I can always use an eyeliner so for me the two eyeliners more or less justified the £40 spend. Or that's how I justified it to myself anyway...

Ordered my M&S Beauty one a couple of days ago and am very much looking forward to it arriving. The 2019 one was really special and this year's looks to be special as well.

I've still not received my Cult Beauty from first time round. I believe it is lost and don't believe I will ever get it. CB are keeping me in limbo and won't give a refund/send a replacement/confirm a delivery date or offer a resolution until Hermes management has undertaken a full investigation

Should I order another one tomorrow? Or should I risk waiting in the hope they will miraculously find my original missing calendar?

I really can't afford this but I have just got paid so the money is there and I have promised DD I would get her one for her birthday.

Fellow mumsnet calendar addicts - please talk me out of it.

Hard to know. LF lost mine and a load of others they claimed were shipped from Poland last year and eventually sent a new one out. That one got lost too. They refunded me and it turned up eventually so I got a free calendar. It was mid-december though.

I guess what it boils down to is how much does dd want that particular one. Would she be happy with an M&S, Next, Asos or similar in case it doesn't turn up and the promise of a beauty edit or two to compensate if it doesn't turn up and you get refunded? That's the approach I would take but I know my dd isn't fussy and just wants something nice each day.

That’s terrible customer service. I wouldn’t pay them the money again personally but it’s a difficult one.

I found myself buying the M&S calendar today which I definitely didn't mean to do this year

I was in store today and saw them displayed with the contents which were better than I thought (despite having that flipping sleep cream which my skin violently reacts to so I'll have to palm it off on my DM again!!)

I've actually bought it mostly for dd as there is a lot of haircare products which she loves!

From what I can see online it's previously been between £55-£60. I already use the cleansing balm which is £44 (although I try to buy when it's 20% off on ASOS) so to get everything else for £15 more is a good deal for me.

I wonder if the Cult Beauty goody bag will be included with the advent calendar tomorrow. That would be amazing. It’s still showing as available on the EU site

Not sure what's still in stock .. the colours in the MAC one are too dark , she's more a nude/shimmery makeup person and loves most products

Huda Beauty maybe? Downside is that it’s a 12 day one and not cheap! There’s also By Terry which is 24 days. Depends how expensive you’re willing to go…
