Beauty Advent Calendars 2021 Thread 4 - One month to go! (Spoilers)

Hope nobody minds me starting the next thread but we'd hit 1000 posts!

F&M has arrived and something in it smells fantastic. I also got the note about the replacement product but I'm fairly sure that's the product that I'd seen advertised so it doesn't make any difference to me.

M&S is great value, as long as you'll use the stuff. I can always use an eyeliner so for me the two eyeliners more or less justified the £40 spend. Or that's how I justified it to myself anyway...

@Jooox here it is (also came today) - gift for DH, it is huge (paperback book for size comparison)

I think it makes such a difference when the actual calendar is exciting and festive. I must admit that opening the M&S calendar has felt a bit odd due to the fact it’s all in a tin. Or it might just be because it’s November

I’ve just succumbed and ordered the Degustabox. £5 off at the moment. It’s for DH really for his birthday to go with his Japanese whiskey one. Food and drink. What more could a man want?

And a gorgeous wife with all the skin care, make up and toiletries I’ve bought!

@OchonAgusOchonOh I ordered it on Saturday, it was dispatched on Monday. The order confirmation email said that it was expected on 11/11, but like you, an post tracking says that they haven’t received it yet

I had the Degustabox calendar delivered today. It’s for DB, who has had a rotten year, not me, so I’ve read the booklet. It’s looks to me like lovely selection: treats, sweet and savoury; ingredients/store cupboard items; drinks. Inevitably, nobody will be excited by every single item, but I think you’d have to be very fussy not to like it.

Slightly odd request, but if anyone has an m and s calendar which shows how the boxes lie on the top, please could they take a photo and post? Trying to repack one that was opened

The Degustabox I ordered for D1 at university arrived today. I'd sent it to her college porter's lodge as I couldn't guarantee someone being in at the house (living out this year) so she had to lug it home and it's HUGE! It arrived in perfect time to open one box a day from now until the end of term.

Tempted by the Defustabix but could I then justify a Fortnums order??? Or is it totally different to getting a festive hamper ?

I really need to stop reading these threads. I got myself a wine advent calendar a while ago after talking myself out of the beauty ones. Since then I’ve succumbed to M&S and Degusta. I got Degusta for my mum and she was so happy with it that I got FOMO. I’ve also ordered the QVC Elemis and have added the Invisibobble one to my basket multiple times

@PomRuns the Degustabox isn't like a high end hamper, there's an unboxing on YouTube if you want to see all the products - it's things like pot of strawberry conserve, Bahlsen biscuits, Maille mustard etc

D1 has dived into hers and is thrilled with it

Looks like ours are travelling together then . Just checked, mine said due on the 11th too. That looks a bit unlikely.

@TheDuchessOfMN - I got all excited this morning when I got a delivery notification from An Post. Unfortunately, it's not the Boots Showstopper.

Glossybox is now down to £78.75 with code BEAUTYCAL.

I really wanted ESPA in previous years but I don't feel tempted now it's reduced

I think it's because it's mainly minis and I didn't love moisturiser I got in my LF calendar last year

Anyone feel there will be a lot of discounts this year?

I also liked the look of espa previously but that is all minis-usually I start working out the rice of full size items & work from there if it's worth it.

Hope Black Friday doesn't have crazy bargains as I don't have enough skin to slather all my creams on!
