Beauty Advent Calendars 2021 Thread 4 - One month to go! (Spoilers)

Hope nobody minds me starting the next thread but we'd hit 1000 posts!

F&M has arrived and something in it smells fantastic. I also got the note about the replacement product but I'm fairly sure that's the product that I'd seen advertised so it doesn't make any difference to me.

M&S is great value, as long as you'll use the stuff. I can always use an eyeliner so for me the two eyeliners more or less justified the £40 spend. Or that's how I justified it to myself anyway...

I'm purposely not looking at that Boots link because by the sounds of it I will be tempted and I just can't justify it!

I would be tempted but the palette doesn’t appeal to me either. What is it with all these red eyeshadows?

Can anyone help - I ordered the m&s calendar online and ordered 2 pairs of pjs and a skirt to get the £30 spend. Anyway I don't like the skirt. If I return it will I get charged the full amount for the calendar?! I can easily spend on something else from m&s but this skirt is a bit frumpy and I won't wear it!

In previous years there have been no repercussions for returning items from the qualifying spend.

I plan on returning some of the items I bought as they are too big. I can't just exchange as they don't have them in my local M&S so I will be ordering the smaller size separately. Hopefully there won't be any issues.

I bought the Cult Beauty advent the other day after promising myself I wouldn’t. The cold and dark evenings coming in reminded me how bleak winter can be. Along with being 30 weeks pregnant and feeling rubbish most of the time I just thought sod it! I’ve nearly finished the children’s gifts, I want a treat!
It’s apparently arriving on Sunday. This is going to take a lot of self control... I may ask my mum to look after it for me.

M&S arrived today but I dropped the parcel and the tin is dented - didn't expect it to be so heavy!!

Really quick delivery time as only ordered it Tues night. Maybe they're not inundated with orders for them this year!

Like a PP I've also bought stuff for the qualifying spend that doesn't fit and will have to return. Honestly m&s quality control is genuinely awful as bought 2 pairs of medium PJs which are totally different sizes 🤦‍♀️

I'm not sure if I'm missing something here, but it doesn't look to me like Selfridges have included all the items in the photo, which makes it appear smaller than in actually is?

Selfridges and boots both look good to me, but I shall be good and resist both after being extremely naughty on the advent calendar buying front.

You are right @MidnightMeltdown - the Selfridges picture shows only 12 items but the box contains 24! Bizarre marketing , especially given that there are no other visuals of what you are getting (and I really hate the way the contents are printed as one long spiel, I much prefer a list). Having said that, I’m really, really tempted by this. There’s a lot in there I would actually use, and given that I’ve (only) got 2 calendars this year (one of which is F&M which contains lifestyle products along side beauty ) I think I can justify the spend. ........

M&S has just arrived! I love the tin. I now have M&S, H&B and Glossybox for me, and Rituals to share with DD . I'm also waiting for the Degustabox one. It is possible that I've gone overboard this year, I don't know where I'm going to put all the stuff!

I’ve got the boots box (not for me), H&B and M&S. Planning on getting one more for jadvent should any go in the sale.

I’m two days into opening M&S and it’s making me feel like I’m cheating on Christmas. I jumped when my phone rang as I was opening the calendar door, as if someone had caught me.

Oooooh I really wanna do jadvent! If any of these go in the sale I might purchase my second ever beauty calendar. I went a bit nuts at the beginning of the year and bought a load of products that I'm still working through, but I only got into skincare in a big way in the winter lockdown so I feel like there are lots of lovely things I haven't discovered yet...

You lot doing Jadvent must have iron self-control. I’m already opening Glossybox and it’s taking a huge effort not to open M&S. I’m only managing to hold off as I’m looking forward to the thread.

I absolutely definitely don’t want the Boots box as I don’t need any more unsuitable eye shadows and the rest of my stash is huge. But by god it’s tempting!
