There's a program at 10pm tonight on Channel 4 called Diana: Queen of Style, for anyone who's interested. Not sure what more there is to be said but it's always fun to watch a fashion retrospective.

Has anyone seen Spencer? It's supposed to be very good and Kristen Stewart is tipped for an Oscar nomination. I did like the director's film about Jackie Kennedy a few years ago.

I haven't, Deftly, but I read a review which suggests that the portrayal of the royal family, Sandringham and the Christmas rituals are so inaccurate as to be risible. We shall see. The interesting thing is that the Queen actually allowed cameras in to Sandringham that Christmas as part of the celebrations for her 40th Jubilee. Diana appeared in that, and seems very different to the film version.
Anyway, I haven't seen it, but I've yet to see a convincing screen Diana!

I did have the other Portland Tiara (a bit like a Phillips Gregory book, only better ) as my runner-up tiara choice - it’s this sapphire, pearl and diamond stunner. But that diamond bandeau Claracluck linked to is pretty gorgeous…

Ooh, lots to catch up on! I’ve gone back and had a good look, the standout hits for me were the mouldy dress😂, Daisy in the blue dress, Camilla on the balcony, looking very elegant. And the Honeysuckle tiara 😍.

Not royal, but Katherine Jenkins has been pictured in two fabulous dresses that I both Kate and Meghan would look fab in, it’s the red ball gown Meg should have worn instead of the badly fitting one. 😂

I love the story about the egg that looks like the Rocketeer in that list. It had been lost for decades, then was acquired a few years ago by a dealer in the US from a flea market for its scrap metal value. When he googled the maker of the clock it contained and “egg” he came across an internet article suggesting it might be a lost Faberge egg. He researched it online, and then came to London to tell Wartskis, the Faberge specialist jewellers about it. They then flew to his home in the US to authenticate it. I’ll bet they all needed some stiff drinks!

The Mosaic egg is in the Royal Collection. It is really stunning - the jewel work looks just like a cross-stitch embroidery. Here’s a photo of it from above.
