I realise the way I cropped the photo makes it look like Daisy is giving the eye to the white haired gent but I wanted to zoom in on her gown. His wife is present next to him!

Ooh thanks for the link to the eggs, I like the swan one. My dream is to find a faberge egg in a charity shop (unlikely!). It's not the value of it that appeals though, but the history and connections.

The Queen is missing the Remembrance Event today due to a sprained back.

HM would never, ever miss Remembrance Sunday if at all possible. I hope that she recovers soon.

Is it just me who's a bit at "a sprained back"? Then again I guess it doesn't take much to sprain something at 95.

I was also a bit at the sprained back and feel it's a definite attempt to deflect from some other root cause sadly. However I was firmly told that it was extremely plausible on the thread about it so 🤷🏻‍♀️

I loved Kate's black dress last night. Actually I thought all the royal women looked good.

I don't feel huge confidence in the sprained back explanation either. I do feel worried that it's a cover for something worse. I really hope she's okay.

I hope the Queen is comfortable and able to watch the ceremony on TV at least. Prince Charles looked very wistful as he was laying her wreath. I know they live a life of immense privilege, but it must be difficult for her close family to be aware that their public appearance today will be being scrutinised by the press.

Kate on the balcony with Camilla today. I think the hat is new but I recognise the coat from a few years ago. It reminds me of the Salvation Army uniform!

Camilla's hat is immense but she can carry that style off.

I utterly loathe that coat that Catherine is wearing. The collar always looks grimy to me, which obviously I'm sure it's not and I cannot stand epaulettes.
