Wallis’s ruby Cartier bangle is superb, I love its Art Deco style. I’m amazed it didn’t sell, especially with its personal engraving from the Duke.

I don't particularly like the style of the Marie Antoinette diamond bracelets, but I love the thought of their provenance. Imagine touching something once worn by such an iconic historical figure.
The rubies on Wallis's bangle are a fabulous colour. As a PP said, almost raspberry.

latedecember I agree, for me the joy would be the historical connection (history teacher) rather than the item itself as a piece of jewellery. But I bet they don't half sparkle in the sunshine!

@MotherofPearl William was doing investitures at the Palace yesterday. They'll be at the Remembrance Day events this weekend and then the Royal Variety Performance next week. We should at least get a gown out of the RVP!

£800 is a bit rich for a dress ring. I'm sure someone will love it. The lustre of the pearls is amazing

Now I prefer Wallace clever twist bangle to Marie's diamonds. It looks very dull

Apparently a lad at a riding disabled event told Anne that she is "beautiful and sexy". Anne's response was to laugh heartily.

Agreed. I like the top, but not today’s outfit. The last three times she wore it was with a tailored skirt, and I think it looks better with that. Although I also think it looked better when she ditched the coat.

Kate got dinged by the Mail when she first wore it for being tone deaf and wearing a too expensive outfit to the event (visiting areas affected by the Birmingham riots) so it’s funny to see the Press now hailing her as “frugal”. Never let it be said the Press care about consistency…
