I think we have at least one tiara each, according to my spreadsheet. Some have parures. Any newbies welcome, log your choices.

I do think Max could have added a tiara, or at least a massive necklace. That's somewhat disappointing.

I got all excited when I read the words “Max” and “feathers” but by her standards, that’s positively tame. Here are a couple of her more exuberant feathered choices.

She is just frickin awesome. She has the pizzazz to carry it off. Can you imagine poor Bea wearing the first hat. She'd be slaughtered.

I absolutely love Max in her Natan feather cuffed dress. The fabric is gorgeous with those bronze highlights.

The other guests at the meal all seem to be in daywear, so she’s hit the right note I think.

Shades of Jesus about it though, albeit a sparkly and green version

I like the vivid cobalt blue of Kate’s Eponine dress, she’s got quite a few of their outfits, the black buttons or feature pocket flaps at waist level are a trademark.

I think Kate looks lovely in that colour, but I’m a bit disappointed that she didn’t choose a rewear to make a positive statement tonight.

I'm not keen on this style on Kate she's so slender it's drowning her . When she's not smiling she looks seriously tired. With Philip, Andrew and Harry missing a heavier load has fallen to a couple with a young family.

How much do tiaras weigh. I suspect I would get a headache. I love metal hairbands with bling but I will suddenly get awful pains and have to remove them

There's plenty a couple with heavier workloads than the Cambridges. Couples with children who work full-time and don't have the luxury of endless help and jetting off on holiday at half-term! William's last engagement was at least 2 weeks ago and Kate wasn't seen from July until September so I can't exactly feel sorry for them.

I agree, @KillingMeDeftly - I don't think it's a workload problem, I suspect a rather rigorous diet and exercise regime.

Having dealt with everyone from Cabinet Ministers to the cleaners & also having several 'lovely' Ofsted experiences in my previous role plus people do literally tell me everything & anything, I volunteer myself to do the diversions at KP a la Sarah Paulson's character Tammy.
Just let me know which water features I need to pull the fake tiaras out of 😂

Loving Max's hair with the waves, and only she could carry off that feathered frock 😄

Not a fan of Kate's blue dress at all! It might have worked if it was on or above the knee and worn in the daytime. A rewear would have been more appropriate.

You're quite right, my mistake! Yours is definitely the Meander. I think the Strathmore is RomainingCalm's.

More photos from last night's do. I do agree with @paradyning that's it's a slightly ageing look on Kate. It's not dissimilar to what Camilla is wearing and she's over 70! Still, at least she got to meet Justin Trudeau again
