Silk pillowcases - do they work?

Chatting to a complete stranger in a queue today who happened to have beautiful skin although I’m guessing she was late sixties. I complemented her and she said she swore by her silk pillowcase. She said she never woke up with that ‘crumpled’ look and her hair was in much better condition since she’d invested in one
Surely it can’t be that simple?

I have had silk pillowcases for a long time now and I absolutely love them. Feels so clean and smooth to sleep on. My hair and skin is better than it has ever been. I use both The White Company and Gingerlily London which are pricey but beautifully made. Worth the money in my opinion.

First night and I’m really impressed. I’m definitely less ‘creased’ this morning. Not as slippery as I was anticipating either. Only time will tell if there is any noticeable improvement in my skin but I certainly found the pillowcase very comfortable as I tend to sleep on my front. My fine hair was not as scarecrow like as usual although I alway wash it every morning anyway so that’s not so important.
