Are you pleased with it? How did you choose your surgeon? Do you mind saying what you paid? Thanks, I'm a bit confused about how you would choose a surgeon.

I have always had very hooded eyes. Hate them, but don't have the money for surgery, plus it does look nasty.

I doubt driving will be an option even if you don’t have sedation. Mine (with ptosis under local anaesthetic) took over an hour and was quite stressful. And I left hospital with one eye padded and the other one blurry from the antibiotic gunk…

Thank you. I'll have to book a taxi, which will cost the earth as its a 100 mile round trip 😒

@Missatkins

Is it OK to drive after the procedure? I'm due to have this on Tuesday under local anaesthetic and haven't told anyone I'm having it done, so can't ask for a lift. The clinic have stated that I shouldn't drive, but just wondering if I'll be OK to. Thanks in advance x

@oblomov21 I always had hooded eyes and I always loved them and thought that it is a variation on the type of the eye. I know this is not in the spirit of the thread, but I really don't see much difference. Yes, eyes look different post-op, but they also looked good before. All eyes look different, why everyone should have those lifted eyes? Isn't it quite western anyway?

I had operations on my eyes as a teenager (medical) and expect like many people to get cataracts and stuff and have more operations with age. I can't fathom why anyone would touch their eyes for any other purposes but improving and maintaining vision. This is not to be rude to the people on the thread who've done the surgery but to the readers who might be thinking this as a must. Apologies all around if I offended anyone

People aren't having operations on their eyes. They are having procedures non the skin around the eyes. Not the same thing.

I've been thinking of getting an upper blepharoplasty as my hooded eyes have got more hooded as I get older (which I accept is normal Wink) but to the extent that they're obstructing my vision to an extent when I'm, say, cycling (ie head down but looking forward) Hmm

@Frederica22 - I may contact you as I'm in Glasgow. But at least I now have an idea of how much I might need to find.

Hooded eyes are lovely, really sultry looking.

I’m trying to save for this as it’s the single thing I would improve if I could - rather than lip filler etc which would also improve me - its expensive I’m thinking of doing a finance plan. I want to be able to use eye liner and shadow again.
