Watching as in the same position!!

FedUpWithBriiiiick · 22/08/2021 20:12

I like Uniqlo.

OlivePenderghast · 22/08/2021 20:13

Zara?

WiggIyWoo · 22/08/2021 20:14

I also need to know this. Two pregnancies, lockdown and hitting mid 30s has left me in despair of my wardrobe. Oh, and living in a not very fashionable town! So different to when I lived in a lovely city and got inspiration from all the women around me.

Xlalalaladdd · 22/08/2021 20:14

@OlivePenderghast

Zara?
Ooh so I would, but their website really confused me! Maybe I should try harder with it

Watching because I’m in the same boat. Due second baby soon and would like to refresh my wardrobe afterwards to not feel as frumpy as I have for the last few years but there are just no clothes shops that suits that aren’t really expensive.

MonsterMunchConnoisseur · 22/08/2021 20:17

The Zara website is crap and I refuse to buy anything from it because most of the time you can't see the clothes properly while the model is artfully balancing on a cooker 🤦🏼‍♀️ but I do go in store and love their tailored stuff.
Mango is also good.
Have a look on brand alley. They often sell really nice brands for a fraction of the price.

MulanIsChinese · 22/08/2021 20:17

Sainsbury's!

Elvisinthechipshop · 22/08/2021 20:18

Cos sales are usually good - their styles don't change that much each season so no sense paying full whack. Definitely a more grown-up aesthetic (bordering on the ascetic). But IMO mid-range basics like t-shirts aren't that much better than H&M etc, so concentrate on bigger items like trousers, coats, shoes etc if you want to change your look without splurging too much.

Lj8893 · 22/08/2021 20:19

I’m in my 30s and don’t like to spend loads of clothes. I shop at New look, SHEIN, Missguided, ASOS. I get the odd nice thing at Tesco and Sainsburys.

FedUpWithBriiiiick · 22/08/2021 20:23

Yeah Sainsbury's jeans are good!

Ricekrispie22 · 22/08/2021 20:23

Next, Tu, Brakeburn, Weird Fish

Crimeismymiddlename · 22/08/2021 20:24

For work clothes I go to Matalan. For everything else River Island, Primark and New Look. I am nearly 40 and still buy bits and bobs from H&M as well. Tesco’s are good as well.

hairytoesme · 22/08/2021 20:26

I am late 30s and tend to buy from Levi's, north face, vans etc.

I am casual though so not maybe what you are looking for!

Xlalalaladdd · 22/08/2021 20:45

Thanks for all the suggestions. Has anyone shopped at monki, is it a bit on the younger side?

OP posts:
fruitbrewhaha · 22/08/2021 20:47

H&M have a sister shop & other stories which is a bit more grown up.

Guineapigbridge · 22/08/2021 20:49

Buy high quality secondhand on eBay or similar.
Cheap clothes are a false economy not to mention bad for the planet.

stevalnamechanger · 22/08/2021 21:18

Vinted
Ebay

Buy better quality clothes pre owned?

HomeSliceKnowsBest · 22/08/2021 21:25

Ebay and TKMaxx mainly!

Wineandshine · 22/08/2021 21:56

Silk Fred is great! Lots of different brands and good quality. Or I like stitch fix which is a subscription but great for trying things you wouldn’t normally try!

WhoNeedsaManOfTheWorld · 22/08/2021 22:01

I look around for what I want then do a lot of searching and watching on ebay and vinted

SharpLily · 22/08/2021 22:03

Zara - but not from the website! You definitely have to try before you buy.

JaceLancs · 22/08/2021 22:05

Tkmaxx, eBay, charity shops, outlets

RubyFowler · 22/08/2021 22:06

I still get quite a bit in New Look.
