Anyone here shopped with this brand? There are some questionable reviews out there on refunds taking a very long time. Any experiences of this, quality etc?

I bought a top and pair of trousers from them last year. The top's ok but the trousers are shapeless and very poor quality. I won't shop with them again.

Intherightplace · 02/08/2021 10:29

I often feel myself getting sucked in to the website and have ordered twice, but returned everything as very poor quality for the price. I don't remember waiting excessively long for the refunds.

@SaintandSofia

Hi there *@Sisisimone*, thanks for your comments. We're sorry for any confusion here. We do indeed offer returns for items purchased as part of our sale, and as per our returns policy these can be returned for store credit or exchange. If we can be of any further assistance please feel free to reach back out to our Care Team on [email protected] and a member of our team will be more than happy to help!
Grin Just in case anyone was thinking they might risk it and place an order, along comes their customer service rep to make doubly sure no-one does Grin

No confusion. I wanted a refund but was faced with a barrage of emails saying I was only entitled to an exchange or credit note. I didn't like anything else so was effectively faced with a £150 loss. As I said I eventually got my money back but it took time and effort that I really didn't have the energy for at the time due to various reasons. I'm certain it's not legal under distance selling laws to not offer a refund. The only exception is for custom made clothing which this is not. I definitely won't be ordering again after this little display on here.
Geamhradh · 02/08/2021 15:20

Shocking quality.
Typical rubbish that looks AMAZING on the website and you actually laugh at yourself for having been taken in by their dodgy marketing.
Whatever the models are wearing in the pics, it's not what you end up buying.

Earthling2000 · 02/08/2021 17:28

I’m always looking out for brands I’ve not heard of as I get stuck in a rut please. I won’t be risking S&S as I have weird proportions and often end up sending stuff back or exchanging it.

NashvilleQueen · 02/08/2021 17:31

Genuinely surprise at this. Only ordered one dress and it was really nice so kept it. Had thought I'd use them again in the future so am shocked to see the experiences set out here.

DelphiniumBlue · 02/08/2021 17:56

I have to say, I've had good experiences with them - really nice trousers and tops, of good quality, and exactly as described.
I haven't needed a refund , although when I wanted to exchange trousers for a different length it was dealt with quickly.

Annoyedandirritated · 02/08/2021 18:02

I have had a nice pair of trousers from them that I regularly wear

AnnieSnap · 02/08/2021 23:41

Well I must say that Saint and Sofia have been extremely helpful. I started this thread wondering about the customer services after reading some bad reviews. Their posts on this thread have strongly confirmed what Mumsnetters have said - that I shouldn’t touch them with a barge pole 👍

I have a pair of the apartment pants. They’re ok but not worth the money

Ohhelppp · 02/08/2021 23:51

I have a pair of S&S trousers (after they were advertised on MN best buys actually) and I love them. Always get compliments when I wear them.
Have never had to send anything back though and have only ever bought this one pair of trousers though, so…

MrsMaizel · 03/08/2021 00:54

I also have S and S trousers and also very happy with them. No problem with returning stuff and good communication.

doesthiscomewithfries · 03/08/2021 01:10

I bought trousers that were advertised on here. The quality is appalling. The material is rubbish and the waist band is a tiny bit of elastic that has twisted round and is basically useless and uncomfortable.

They're also incredibly unflattering. I tried to send them back but got obstructive customer services so sucked it up.

My M&S trousers are much better. Than less than half the price.

I also bought a top on a whim. I've never worn it. It's so awful on. It's weird around the shoulders. Complete waste of money!

Konyeshno · 03/08/2021 01:29

As per (real) PP, felt like a sucker seeing the real trousers vs how they appeared on the website. Quality to price ratio was piss poor. Returned for a refund that was like getting blood out of a stone. I won't be shopping there again.

Pigtailsandall · 03/08/2021 11:45

This is interesting as I was literally about to come in and ask about their trousers. I'm after some casual black trousers which are a notch above joggers, and the S+S ones look nice. But the pricing etc is odd too - the polyester ones are almost the double the price of the cotton ones, and the style is very similar, which makes me think the cotton might be very thin/poor quality. Hmm. I bought a t-shirt a while back from them. It's a nice fit but I don't think there's anything there which justifies the £35 price - it's not dissimilar to a £5 h&m one

I might consider if I could physically go and fiddle them but buying online sounds too risky.

HumousWhereTheHeartIs · 03/08/2021 12:43

I wouldn't buy from them again. The top I got was very average and could have been from anywhere. I also ordered shoes that were too tight and it took weeks to get a refund.

LadyR77 · 03/08/2021 14:42

I bought some trousers from them and they were horrible - thin, cheap-feeling fabric. Sent them straight back and it took almost 3 weeks to get a refund. Would never buy from them again.

Leftbutcameback · 03/08/2021 14:45

They’ve just proved again above that they don’t understand the law about distance selling! I’ve seen the adverts but wouldn’t chance it now. Why don’t companies understand that we do share if we have bad experiences? I’ve never seen a company come onto a thread like this before though - is it usual?

Try Baujken instead
Pigtailsandall · 03/08/2021 15:30

@Hoppinggreen I actually have a pair of palazzo trousers from Baukjen but I was looking for something more cropped and tapered... like a tailored jogger. They don't have anything I'm particularly looking for right now. Will keep looking!

ticketiboo · 03/08/2021 15:34

Couldn’t not come on and echo these experiences. I bought a hoodie but it didn’t suit me so I had to send it back. The refund was not forthcoming, I waited the 14 days they said it could take and then emailed. Only after I had did I get my money back, when every other company I have shopped online with is so much quicker. Would definitely not recommend buying from them, I won’t again.

BleuJay · 07/01/2022 16:33

I was going to buy a scarf as I saw a woman wearing on in the street and I googled it and found it on their website.

It says rock & roll and whimsy I don’t usually like wording this appealed to me.

Has anyone bought it?

It’s actually on sale at the moment so it’s relatively inexpensive but if it’s rubbish quality I would like to know.

stinkingbishop · 07/01/2022 19:14

I've had mixed bag: bought trousers and also the tartan Noho BIG skirt, and love both. But have also mailed them about the constant (daily) barrage of misleading emails advertising 'sale', when it's not a sale, because the price is exactly the same as it's always been from them. Got shirty but meaningless reply. I just think they don't quite understand systems here, including legally. I was getting a bit cross about it all, so have blocked them, and therefore won't be buying again. Silly them.

LoveaStatementNap · 07/01/2022 23:56

I love their trousers. I’ve had a pair of the apartment pants for a good few years now, wear them at least three times a week and they are only just starting to get a tiny hole in the pocket. Not long bought another pair in a different style (Camden) and I really like them. My priority is comfort, so these work well for me.
