What's the best colour for toe nails?

I always go for red on my toes, any other colours I should consider?

I realize that this thread is old and maybe I should have started a new one on toe colors.

I agree with Tomasinabombadil that red is the best color for toes and short nails with clear or nude for fingers! I am a feminine guy that lives in a warm climate where I can wear sandals almost all year. I get a pedicure every two week and have tried almost all colors, but always go back to OPI Big Apple Red on my toes! I have really fair skin and Big Apple Red is perfect for my skin type. I believe that is it very important to find a nail color that works well with your skin type, even for your toes. My nail tech as says "Big Apple Red again". There is something about red toenails. When I am having a bad day, it really cheers me up to look down and see pretty red toes peeking out of my sandals.
