Following on from @dogsandbabies lovely thread about statement rings - please can I ask to see your eternity rings? Or eternity ring designs that you particularly like?

Unusual or traditional, stacking with wedding set or not, I’m on the lookout for ideas - and also would just love to see your pretty jewellery :)

My engagement ring is simple emerald cut solitaire and my wedding ring is a plain band. Thought most eternity rings would clash until we found this… absolutely love it and it was available for a limited lime around a special event in our lives so it seems an extra little bit romantic too

Mine goes all the way round. It sits higher than my wedding ring, so I wear them the wrong way round.

Mine is quite simple and I often wear it by itself.

My engagement ring is bigger and gets in my way so I found myself taking it off at random times and ran the risk of losing it, so now I just wear it when I'm going out.. My tastes have changed a bit I think since I chose my rings. My wedding ring is shaped to fit round my engagement ring so looks a bit weird without it.

I think it's meant to be wedding ring, engagement, eternity, but the ring police haven't come for me yet!

That’s a lovely set @Purpleavocado! Your engagement and wedding rings are quite similar in style to mine. Do you ever feel like having the three together is a bit chunky, or does it ever feel uncomfortable especially in the heat? That’s my worry!

@Procrastatron that’s an unusual cut - I’ve not seen diamonds cut like that before! And lovely story too :)

I’m wondering about getting one to wear as a stand alone ring on the other hand - maybe something like this (Boodles design I think). Thoughts on whether it would still ‘count’ as an eternity ring?

I had to remove my rings during covid (healthcare). I also had to work a lot of extra hours. I lost my wedding ring somewhere in the house. I decided to treat myself to an eternity/wedding ring that I could wear all the time now that I’m no longer working in a covid hub ( closed 🎉🎉). I add in my engagement ring at weekends!

They don't sit too wide on my finger @RandomCatGenerator so they are comfortable. A local jeweller altered the setting on my engagement ring to sit higher when he made the eternity ring, so they would sit flush

@Faevern I had some gold charms and sovereigns I didn't want, the jeweller did some alterations I wanted. I had money left and bargained for the Ring! Dh didn't have a say in it

My wedding ring is an eternity ring, it’s a ruby and diamond band that matches my engagement ring.

I’ve never fancied an eternity ring but that’s because I’m not sure when they should be given. Do reasons vary or is it when you have a child or have been married a certain amount of time. I know a girl who told me it’s on your first wedding anniversary. Are there lovely stories behind the ring?

Mine is in place of a wedding or engagement ring because to me, there's no point in having an engagement ring if I'm not planning to get married. There is probably a traditional time to be given an eternity ring though.

Forgot to add, mine was for a significant birthday. White gold with 7 channel set diamonds.

Personally I don't like eternity rings with engagement and wedding rings so either wore mine on its own on my left hand or on my right hand
