I know you're supposed to wear one daily and I never do this. Surely they get all oily?

If you're using sunscreen under makeup, what do you do it it's a sunny day and are outside a lot. Do you add over makeup during the day?

FreshFaceTime · 30/05/2021 09:29

You can get spray ones to top up over makeup. Something like this...

I'd only bother if I was properly out in for any length of time though, which doesn't happen often. I usually seek some shade after a while as I start to feel uncomfortable in the blazing sun. My kids do the same so I'm not often chasing them around in it for too long either.

jakalaka · 30/05/2021 09:32

Biore watery essence

doadeer · 30/05/2021 09:32

Beauty pie one is fab

Or la Roche posay.

I always wear factor 50.

I wear religiously as I use Retinol at night

ErrolTheDragon · 30/05/2021 09:34

Boots protect and perfect factor 50.

Sading · 30/05/2021 09:39

Laura Mercier Primer Pure Canvas Protecting spf30 UVA/UVB which I hope no ones going to tell me isn’t good enough as I love it. I can’t feel it, it didn’t hurt my eyes and as it’s a primer makeup goes on like a dream. I did use LRP and it was okay but I always looked a bit shiny. I’ve ordered the watery essence from Amazon but after reading this thread I’m worried it’ll be a fake.

PandoraP · 30/05/2021 09:52

I didn’t wear sun screen every day until very recently.I think they are all sticky and don’t like the feel of too many products on my face.

Turkishangora · 30/05/2021 09:57

@MrsSHudson

La Roche Posay anthelios 50. Easily absorbed and not greasy under makeup
I use this too. Very smooth to apply and lasts for ages. Also started using for the kids as it has such a nice consistency.
Peasinthefreezer · 30/05/2021 19:19

Just started using the Ultra Violette Supreme screen - really impressed! Goes on really well not sticky and easy to wear under make-up.

Delatron · 30/05/2021 22:04

Just bought the Ultra Violette one and I love it. Goes on very well.

Another vote for Biore though be careful buying on eBay etc - seems to be sold cheaply by dodgy sellers which makes me doubt it’s real. Usually I stock up on holiday, can’t do that now obviously 😢

louisethedisease · 31/05/2021 13:50

Currently using Murad city skin. It's a mineral sunscreen. I absolutely love it although is very expensive so not sure if I will repurchase. I got it as part of a set you see.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 31/05/2021 14:02

Clinique City Block SPF 40 most days. If it's super sunny the Ultrasun SPF 50 on face and decolletage. Ultrasun SPF 30 on arms/other exposed bits. I'm pale so it works on my skin and it's not sticky once it's soaked in Also it doesn't smell - I've never found any sunscreen I like the smell of!

TheYearOfSmallThings · 31/05/2021 14:05

Also Clinique cityblock sheer. But I think it is being discontinued Sad

dementedma · 31/05/2021 14:07

I'm using the Gruum one just now but not loving it. Very thick and leaves a white cast if not wearing makeup

ginoclocksomewhere · 31/05/2021 14:13

For the last year I've used Bondi Sands face SPF 50, it's very good and very affordable!

bendmeoverbackwards · 31/05/2021 14:16

@Phyllis321

The Watery Essence one or Frezyderm tinted one. Both excellent.
Second the Frezyderm one.
Flambola · 31/05/2021 14:23

Skinceuticals brightening UV defence spf 50 (something like that) - it’s brilliant, but so expensive! Got it free with my Vit C serum.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 31/05/2021 14:28

Noooooooo! I bloody love it. Am going to stock up.
Neotraditional · 31/05/2021 14:29

Thank You Farmer is very good - sinks right into the skin. It’s not cheap at £18 a bottle but it’s worth it in my humble opinion.

I really want to try the Biore Watery Essence but I’m sure I’ve read on here in the past that some posters got fakes when buying off Amazon? Happy to be corrected if I’m misremembering. If it’s true, how can you be sure you are getting a legitimate bottle?

WeAreTheHeroes · 31/05/2021 15:01

I've just ordered the Garnier over make up spray. Thanks for the recommendations. I use Rozex for rosacea and you have to wear sunscreen with it as strong sunlight stops it from being effective.

AColdDuncanGoodhew · 31/05/2021 17:25

I’ve been using the Kiehls ultra light daily UV defence sunscreen but find it too heavy so when it’s finished i’ll switch back to LRP Anthelios or try the Supergoop one

Yellow85 · 31/05/2021 18:38

I use La Roche-Posay Anthelios Anti-Shine as I have super oily skin!

lceniWarrior · 31/05/2021 22:03

Think I need to up my application. I use Tretinoin and my skin feels sore this evening. I'm out a lot in the day and am nervous about using Tretinoin in the summer now.
