I have just had a new kitchen put in.

White gloss units with walnut block worktop and walnut floors. Walls white with one in duck egg blue.

The chairs round the table are bistro chairs some white and some blue.

None of them are my ideal but the money has run out!

With the white units you could have any colour you liked really. Friends of ours have a kitchen like yours and I think the walls are mostly white but they have painted the walls where the units are a deep pinky-red. Wouldn't be my first choice of colour but it does look stunning... how about white with a colour on one or two walls? I love blue but wonder if it would look a bit bathroomy if the whole kitchen was in blue?

What is the light (daylight) like in the kitchen and what direction does it face?

We currently have white walls, which I would prefer to keep as there are various beams and pillars so keeping the walls and ceiling the same colour stops it looking too busy. HOWEVER ds2 has managed to get paint spatters on the walls which white paint (even special basecoat) will not cover so we will have to change to a darker colour. We are currently thinking of pale grey...(units are cream)

prefer first table you showed.

Your kitchen sounds fab. Have you got links to pics of it? It sounds just like what I want!
