Rosie HW has designed some shoes and I’m sorry, but they’re bloody hideous

I used to think she was mega stylish but in recent years she’s clearly gone for that fucking awful Bottega Veneta aesthetic, all absurdly chunky and quilted and square toed. And everything is in ghastly colours “neutral tones”.

In fairness I can’t stand shoes that make a feature of the big toe anyway, it’s the ugliest part of the human anatomy IMO.

It probably doesn’t help that in most of the pictures she’s posed in such a way that her feet appear to be twice the size of her head...

Does anyone actually like them?

Gosh. They're fairly ugly. It's as if there's no design at all, or thought up with a hangover at the last minute, with a forgotten deadline

They’re all very ugly. Clunky, heavy & just not elegant at all. If “chunky” were the aesthetic that I were going for, I could find much more attractive footwear than those.

They’re trying to be chunky and elegant and streamlined all at the same time and failing at all 3. The strappy sandals wouldn’t be so bad with a more classic heel style, that not-a-wedge-not-a-stiletto-god-only-knows thing is going to go out of date so quickly. But then with a regular stiletto or wedge or chunky heel they’d look just like every other pair of strappy sandals I guess...

Aside from being hideous, imagine if you slipped in them. Your break your toe!

I always think that strap over the big toe looks like the toe is in prison, it needs to be strapped down to prevent escape or some such.

It’s shoes for rich people. If you’re dressed perfectly and don’t have to walk anywhere and only wear them while they’re brand new looking and you’ve just had a pedicure then the shoes can look okay, or at least look interesting.

Yeah, they're grim. You'd need perfectly preened trotters to wear them.

The brown ones are nice. She has done a collaboration with Gia Couture and they were ugly.

RHW is a very beautiful woman but those shoes are fugly.

Feet are pretty much hideous anyway (unless they're on babies). Who wants to see that much of them?

Big fan of her underwear and nightwear for M&S though.
