Rosie HW has designed some shoes and I’m sorry, but they’re bloody hideous

I used to think she was mega stylish but in recent years she’s clearly gone for that fucking awful Bottega Veneta aesthetic, all absurdly chunky and quilted and square toed. And everything is in ghastly colours “neutral tones”.

In fairness I can’t stand shoes that make a feature of the big toe anyway, it’s the ugliest part of the human anatomy IMO.

It probably doesn’t help that in most of the pictures she’s posed in such a way that her feet appear to be twice the size of her head...

Does anyone actually like them?

I think all toes not just the big toe is ugly, no idea why people like footwear that shoe their toes off

thecognoscenti · 26/03/2021 21:00

They're foul. Really ugly.
I don't understand the logic: she's good looking so must be able to design shoes? I feel for all the people who spend years training in design, only for someone like this to waft in and be awarded a collection

Flaunch · 26/03/2021 21:00

Jeez those are some bad shoes. Could a person even walk in those toe loop ones?

Has she got size 19 feet?

DramaAlpaca · 26/03/2021 21:01

They are really ugly shoes.

Lanique · 26/03/2021 21:02

Fugly as fuck!

PickAChew · 26/03/2021 21:03

They look like a recipe for spending middle age with regular visits to the podiatrist.

ferretface · 27/03/2021 17:24

I like the brown flatforms and the square toes 😅 the square toes look like hell to wear though.

NeverDropYourMoonCup · 27/03/2021 17:59

I suppose the sort of people that might want to be seen owning them never have to concern themselves about walking upstairs - those front flippers would have you falling flat on your face by the third step.

But, no, I don't think she designed them. I think her name has been tagged to them because they know damn well that they wouldn't ever sell on the basis of what they look like.

VenusClapTrap · 27/03/2021 21:11

I quite like square toed sandals. But I don’t like those.

Dianeisabighead · 27/03/2021 21:13

You are correct. They are bloody hideous.

ColonelCathcart · 27/03/2021 21:16

She looks very unimpressed by them.

SurreyFlurry92 · 27/03/2021 21:47

OP clearly RHW has launched a range of inpatient hospital shoes. To allow someone to walk around while airing their feet and toes? Like the ward version of shower shoes.

On a side note, have you SEEN these £400 ballerina camel toe shoes?

I don't mind the first ones but they look bad in white. I can't stand square toes & mules

malaboi · 27/03/2021 21:54

I used to like her style years ago but she's fine a bit try hard

Maireas · 28/03/2021 06:55

The cloven hoof Margiela ones? Why advertise that you're related to Satan?
Rosie. Just no. Toe posts are never, never attractive, and most people do not have feet that bear scrutiny.

Any shoes that go between your toes are a no from me!

1000umbrellas · 30/03/2021 00:18

Yeah if they look that bad on an actual model they're not going to do much for us mere mortals. I'm thinking her design input consisted of a brief meeting with the actual designer, during which she managed to totally piss them off.
