What do you do with your hair at night?

I suppose this question only applies if you have long-ish hair. I tend to tie mine up in a messy bun, but it always seems to make my hair look terrible in the morning.

I couldn't have it loose because it goes everywhere and Feels uncomfortable.

What do you do with your hair?

I wear mine up all day. I take it out at night and leave it loose.

bjjgirl · 26/03/2021 06:29

I cut mine partly due to this issue, I would have to wear a low plait as the bobble being close to my head used to give me headaches

Bluntness100 · 26/03/2021 06:30

I do a loose plait.

SnuggyBuggy · 26/03/2021 06:31

Good old French plait, otherwise I get a terrible bedhead.

LongIslandIcedT · 26/03/2021 06:36

I can't tie my hair up at night it's too uncomfortable. I tend to loosely bundle it at the top of my pillow.

littlem133 · 26/03/2021 06:39

French plait. Then my hair has a nice wave to it in the morning

mintessa · 26/03/2021 07:19

Have you tried a silk pillowcase? They're meant to stop your hair from getting too ruffled. I've got longish, waveyish (well, messyish!) hair so can't say I've noticed a huge difference, but it feels lovely to sleep on Smile

mintessa · 26/03/2021 07:24

To answer your question, though, I leave mine loose so it can cover my ears. Don't like having cold ears!

Superstardjs · 26/03/2021 07:24

If I did a messy bun, mine would be a total tangle by morning. I hoik mine all up on top of my head and twist loosely to form a bun.

PrintempsAhoy · 26/03/2021 07:56

A plait

Like my granny in the olden days Grin

PrintempsAhoy · 26/03/2021 07:57

If I don’t, I end up dreaming about being strangled or about seaweed around my neck Grin

BangingOn · 26/03/2021 07:59

I have a satin lined sleep beanie which means I barely need to brush my hair the next morning.

lazylinguist · 26/03/2021 07:59

I wash mine every morning, because it would look awful after a night's sleep on it, whatever I did with it.

ThreeKneeRepeater · 26/03/2021 08:01

I tie mine in a loose pony tail with another bobble at the bottom.
I I can’t bear hair in my face.
Also have a silk pillowcase.

Do you not get really hot wearing a hat to bed?
torquewench · 26/03/2021 08:10

God knows. I usually wake up each morning looking like there's a burst mattress on top of my head.

SoundOfFalsetto · 26/03/2021 08:14

I have mine up in a messy bun most of the day and take out the band just before I go to bed. A silk pillowcase is the answer to all your issues believe me. Your hair will thank you for it. Your hair will be less frizz, in better condition, and less greasy. Make sure it is a decent one, at least 20 momme and mulberry silk.

DancesWithDaffodils · 26/03/2021 08:14

Low ponytail. Bobble tight, but not right next to my head.

Aebj · 26/03/2021 08:14

Messy bun but loose .
Wash my hair in the morning after I’ve been to the gum , so I look presentable for work!!! I go to the gym between 6-7 and non of us care what we look like!!

changi · 26/03/2021 08:43

Nothing usually. I have curly hair so it doesn't need any special attention.

If it's really hot, I might scrunch it up into a loose ponytail.

UntilYourNextHairBrainedScheme · 26/03/2021 08:47

I have long wavy hair and leave it loose, I'd hate putting it up. My teen DD sleeps with hers in a silk cover she calls a bonnet though ShockGrin It does keep her curls looking nice but doesn't appeal to me to do myself!

EssexLioness · 26/03/2021 08:57

I rock a not-so-glamorous 80’s style high ponytail, on the top of my head. Not found anything else that feels comfy to me. Looks terrible but does the job

NeedWineNow · 26/03/2021 09:12

Loose ponytail with a soft scrunchie at the nape of my neck. Couldn't stand to have it loose now.

QueenOfPain · 26/03/2021 09:14

I twist mine round and round till it forms a loose bun on top of my head and then use a small crocodile clip to fasten the bun in place. It’s loose enough not to feel uncomfortable, but much much better than having my hair all loose everywhere while I’m trying to sleep.

It keeps the lengths of the hair smooth and sleek too.

AnExcellentWalker · 26/03/2021 09:20

Those who have a silk pillowcase - where did you get it please? I’m wary of buying online due to possible fakes & low quality.
