What do you do with your hair at night?

I suppose this question only applies if you have long-ish hair. I tend to tie mine up in a messy bun, but it always seems to make my hair look terrible in the morning.

I couldn't have it loose because it goes everywhere and Feels uncomfortable.

What do you do with your hair?

mine is the longest it has ever been and is driving me bonkers! Sometimes I french plait it and that does give it a lovely wave, but it never lasts, sometimes a low pony tail and sometimes a really high, top of the head messy folded pony bun, but then when I wake up in the morning I look like that Little My angry moomin critter. :o :o

A buff type thing

Loose ponytail. It usually does look shit in the morning but then I either style it or it’s getting shoved up in a messy bun anyway.

Woodlandbelle · 26/03/2021 09:37

Tie it up. It's tied up 24 hours a day. We'll 23 as I wash it daily. Can't stand it down.

IdblowJonSnow · 26/03/2021 09:37

Unless it's really hot I leave it loose. Also have a silk pillowcase.

AmelieTaylor · 26/03/2021 09:42

Mine's down to my bum.

I don't do anything with it. Nor do I use a special pillow case.

Imissmoominmama · 26/03/2021 09:44

I sweep mine upwards, but leave it loose. I have silk pillowcases from John Lewis.

merryhouse · 26/03/2021 09:50

Ach, I'm jealous. Mine never got long enough to be a pain, despite not being cut for 23 years.

When I was a teenager I used to put it in pigtails. One of my sisters when sahm to small children would keep hers in the same plait for several days running.

Roominmyhouse · 26/03/2021 09:59

I plait mine but I also wash it every morning.

Mellonsprite · 26/03/2021 10:02

Soft scrub hue in either a low pony tail or plait.

Mellonsprite · 26/03/2021 10:02

Scrub hue = scrunchy

Megan2018 · 26/03/2021 10:04

Loose. But I don’t lie on it, I lift it up as I lie down. Looks fine in the morning.
It’s stupidly long at the moment due to lockdown.

SilverOtter · 26/03/2021 10:10

I put mine up in a bun, otherwise it could well strangle me and anyone else in the bed (it's rather long and thick)!😂

altlife · 26/03/2021 10:20

Low, loose plaitGrin

CleverCatty · 26/03/2021 10:23

my hair is below shoulders but even when it was much longer when I was younger and a couple of years ago I still have never put it in a plait at night, never seemed to tangle and seemed fine.

RandomUsernameHere · 26/03/2021 10:34

Leave it loose but move it all up so it's above my head, I don't like the feeling of hair on my face when I'm sleeping

ThatPoster · 26/03/2021 10:43

I often tie it up in a bun on top of my head (so I don't lie on it). Don't really like waking up with it all over my face.

I wash it every morning though so don't mind how it looks when I wake up.

I wear it down if I have company...

FlyingByTheSeatof · 26/03/2021 10:44

I plait mine to the side

dudsville · 26/03/2021 11:44

I've mostly embraced the loose hair at night. I used to always tie it up but then one day I didn't and my hair was in such better condition the next morning. I do have a silk turban for hair washing nights to help it calm back down though.

StarsonaString · 26/03/2021 12:29

Just shove it above my head on the pillow and it stays there. Its straight and I don't tend to toss and turn that much.

BangingOn · 26/03/2021 17:50

@Bluntness100 not at all, although I was worried about it but it’s bizarrely quite cool to wear. Although we live in a very old cottage that’s generally damp and chilly, so I might feel differently in a week insulated house.
