All of a sudden, my usual make up just looks horrid!

Do you recommend anything? Particular area is that foundation, even with a primer just sits horrid on my nose.

Me too. Waiting for advice with you op. Wad thinking of trying a tinted moisturiser but not sure where to start?

dramaqueen · 17/03/2021 21:14

53 here and have changed to Zelens moisturiser. I've tried every one under the sun but this is a good match and seems to cover blemishes and fine lines without sinking in.

Cocolapew · 17/03/2021 21:15

I use NYX Born To Glow foundation, it gives more coverage than a BB cream but isnt heavy. I'm 52.

5128gap · 17/03/2021 21:27

I stopped wearing foundation altogether as i thought it made my skin look dry and flat. I now use an oil under moisturiser then just a little concealer where needed. Maybe a touch of creamy blusher if I need colour.

chopsticksgalore · 17/03/2021 21:29

Try Trinny London

kissmelittleass · 17/03/2021 21:33

I use benefit pore professional and Mac studio fix it worked for me

HundredMilesAnHour · 17/03/2021 21:41

Erborian BB creme in Nude. I don't have great skin but this makes me look so much better yet still natural. Genius!

splishsplashsploosh · 17/03/2021 21:43

A layer of Aveeno moisturiser and then apply No7 tinted moisturiser. Also Burts Bees tinted lip balm instead of lipstick.

Number3BigCupOfTea · 17/03/2021 21:44

No 7 lift and luminate serum foundation. 24 euro. I keep tring more expensive ones like CT flawless foundation and Laura mercier but the lift and luminate one is the one that blends in perfectly and gives good coverage without caking and stays on all day. I use a no7 primer so the two work together.

omg you are my skin twin 🤣

WisnaeMe · 17/03/2021 22:02

excepting the tinted moisturiser lol 🌺

violetbunny · 17/03/2021 22:35

Make sure you're well moisturised, pick a decent quality moisturiser.

Foundation wise, something sheer with skincare and hydration benefits may work better, like the Chantecaille Future Skin foundation. It's a gel texture and is basically in between a foundation and a tinted moisturiser. By terry also do some great foundations with skincare benefits.

Also if you use powder, think about skipping it altogether or just peeing very lightly in the t-zone.

Bare minerals complexion rescue works well for me

Buggerthebotox · 18/03/2021 08:04

I use revitalift laser renew and it's fine under any old foundation (at the moment I'm using Estee lauder double wear).

CoronaCurls · 18/03/2021 09:20

I'm very fair and find most BB creams and tinted moisturisers a bit orange, but have recently got Nuxe Bio tinted cream in fair and it is gorgeous. It blends in really well and covers my awful red chin but doesn't settle in lines. I would definitely recommend it.

huuuuunnnndderrricks · 18/03/2021 15:47

Trinny London and bb cream , cream blusher .. nothing drying or thick

gingercat02 · 18/03/2021 15:50

52 in a month. Another one for no7 tinted moisturiser

Crookairroad · 18/03/2021 18:40

Thank you. I tried applying my Charlotte Tilbury today with my fingers and it did make a bit of a difference but will look at trying some other brands too.

I really rate the No.7 lift & luminate foundation. Just a couple of drops onto my buffer brush and it gives a lovely finish to my skin, evens out the tone and brightens my complexion. Affordable too 👍🏻

lissie123 · 18/03/2021 19:07

Trinny London is fab

kirkandpetal · 18/03/2021 19:18

I have upped my moisturizing which has improved how foundation or cc/bb cream sits in my face.

I use Balance Me Rose Otto oil every morning following by whatever moisturizer I have on the go (using up a lot of gwp/samples) although I love Origin ginzing or the Nuxe one in the pink tube.

citygirl1961 · 18/03/2021 19:52

@splishplashspoosh what is the N07 tinted moisturiser like these days? I used to use it before they changed it to City Lights.

@wearywithteens - which No7 foundation do you use?

I am 59 and still struggle with what to use. I like Clinique though.
