All of a sudden, my usual make up just looks horrid!

Do you recommend anything? Particular area is that foundation, even with a primer just sits horrid on my nose.

I'm 55. I've just bought Trinny London BFF and it's great. It's far more than I've spent on a base before but I think I'll buy again. I've got one of the lip2cheek as well, bought after doing the match2me on the website. I wasn't sure when I saw the colour it suggested but went with it and that's great too.

I use YSL primer and Bobby brown Intensive Skin Serum foundation applied with a tiny sponge thing. I wear very little but it doesn’t go all cakey and lasts for ages. My skin is a bit combination but the primer helps a lot.
Must try the No7 one after lockdown as I hear it’s a good dupe of the higher end foundations.

I've never found an actual tinted moisturiser that wasn't too orange for me. So rather than using a special tinted moisturiser, I mix a few drops of my usual foundation (Shiseido synchro skin) in the shade I know works for me into my moisturiser and apply with fingers. It's still some coverage but much more natural. I only whack on full foundation for special events, and when I have time to fully hydrate and prep.

Have also been learning that less concealer, applied in the right places with a small brush and then buffed out, works much better than giant slashes of concealer under the eyes.
