Opinion on these dresses for a wedding please

I said before my usual style is maxi dress/skirt clumpy boots or flatform sandals so if i got one i think it would be clumpy flatform sandals
I am not young. Over 50

I prefer the first dress but the second one more suitable for a wedding .

First one is a bit evening for a wedding , green one is nice with good accessories if green is your colour as it's not got a pattern .

I'm not sure I could carry the green off. I usually wear a much darker shade if I wear green and I'm a bit ruddy

If I wore the first dress I would get any contrasting clutch bag in a bright and/or sparkly finish (probably from accessorise) and some Art Deco earrings from my favourite (slightly pricey) Toolally.
I wouldn’t try and match colours I’d just make sure they complemented each other

Don't hate me, but neither of them is either fashion forward or in any way interesting. They're just standard special occasion frocks.

I'm picky so I'd be a bit disappointed if anyone wore them to my (imaginary) wedding.

Age should never be a factor in what one chooses to wear - but the older I get, the more committed I am to only wearing the best, fiercest, most uncompromising, non-ingratiating clothes I can.

I wouldn't have liked you wearing the first to my wedding but that's because my bridesmaids were in black full length dresses. Most people don't have that issue though.

Go for whatever one will make you feel most comfortable, if it's neither of those then keep looking.

Actually I wouldn't have cared. You would have looked like my bridesmaids though.

I love the first one but it’s more for a glam evening do than a wedding. The second one is nice enough but I wouldn’t wear it.

I guess the danger of a solid colour is that I could either look like the Queen or a bridesmaid

I think they’re both lovely. The first one would be perfect for a daytime wedding and the second would be good for you the evening.

I prefer the first dress but I think the second one is more wedding appropriate.

I think it would be okay to wear the first one if you want to.
