yes but she's 4! of course she has marvellous skin!

Kitsandbits · 01/11/2007 18:01

Dying my hair

Curling it

wearing a corset and make up all make me feel fabulous!

CatIsSleepy · 01/11/2007 18:03

for me my hair and how tired I look/feel are the main factors

Blu · 01/11/2007 18:03

Anyway -
my (ideal - not currently deployed) recipe for looking good is
Sleep
Haircut and colours
Excercise - for the tone and the circulatory glow
Clothes that suit you
Well-chosen acessories

CatIsSleepy · 01/11/2007 18:06

yes accessories
and for me a little bit of make-up (I never normally wear any make-up) also makes a difference

Marina · 01/11/2007 18:06

Dh will gladly crate it up onto a large container truck pruners
He Makes Remarks
At least he does not wash his hair with Carex, an astonishing fact admitted to by a colleague whose hair is not his crowning glory

ellehcim · 01/11/2007 18:08

Protect and Perfect is on 3 for 2 at the mo.
Been using it for a couple of months and think its working.

Marina · 01/11/2007 18:09

I agree ellechim, I think it is helping me too
And I normally stick with what I like rather than hyped up stuff
I used a revolting pink Zoflora-type cleanser from Vichy for about 20 years until the feckers discontinued it

CatIsSleepy · 01/11/2007 18:14

hmm keep meaning to get some of that Protect and Perfect stuff. Sounds like it might be worth it.

pollypeachum · 01/11/2007 18:22

charnos hourglass support pants
7 jeans
heels

clean hair
mascara

The granny pants have changed my life, can't recommend them strongly enough . I buy them big, they come up to my belly button, and now I can wear jeans without wobbling.

nangnangnang · 01/11/2007 19:25

In mid-thirties myself and rely on Laura Mercier concealer under my eyes to stay the right side of frightening. A Nars multiple is a good thing on pallid days (ie most days) - mine is Mustique I think.

oh, i feel all fuzzy and unignored now!
ta, chaps

the 'real' suzycreamcheese led very colourful life in 60's scene, man and was friend of frank zappa, my all time favourite composer......

alot of this stuff mentioned has lots of toxins etc.. and the boots protect product is not so convincing my mum bought as a treat for me, bless..and have heard it was just a good hype..

but would rather have gear without parabens et al..
i really like REN products..

pointydog · 01/11/2007 20:12

we have a problem, wonks. We are becoming interchangable. I did wonder why pruners was addressing me about condition.

We are melding. However, I am too lazy to do anything about it.

suzy/hairs, course I remember you. You had your hen night on mn

doggiesayswoof · 01/11/2007 20:21

Good hair.
Little bit of make up.
When non-pg I do a class which is a mixture of yoga and pilates. Brilliant for toning, especially tummy and thighs

popsycal · 01/11/2007 20:21

bumperlicious · 01/11/2007 20:32

As an aside i find the eve lom stuff smells vile! I can't use it since I tried it while I had morning sickness. Bleughhhhh!

The miracle cream is No7 protect and perfect. I managed to get a 3 for 2 online before they started to limit the numbers you were allowed and having used it all, no one has noticed, so maybe it just didn't work for me? Olay regenerist - now THAT got an unprompted 'you look younger, your skin looks great' from a (gay) male colleague (in other words he wasn't flirting with me)

HairyIrene · 01/11/2007 21:29

pointy!
policy!
it was only the blood sugar!
your names are distinct!

its all the fairies i get mixed up with..

Turquoise · 01/11/2007 21:50

Pollypeachum - re the granny pants under jeans: does that not lead to an unbearably sweaty crutch?

chonky · 01/11/2007 21:52

Eyebrows. If I don't shape my brows I end up with Magnum PI's tache x2 over my eyes. Always a good look.

Apart from that hair cut and colour, bikini line waxed and toenails painted.

WideWebWitch · 01/11/2007 21:56

Candlelight, preferably

failing that, a decent haircut and colour
touche eclat
brisk walking
sleep
sex

HairyIrene · 01/11/2007 21:58

lol chonky ..magnum pi x2..has it ever made it to a noel gallagher

bossykate · 04/11/2007 12:05

i have been inspired by this thread to do my eve lom the last couple of nights. it really is marvellous stuff! have woken up with better skin both days!

treacletart · 04/11/2007 12:22

dye your eyelashes - pack of coloursport 30 day mascara lasts for ages, cheap as chips, really easy to use and makes you look really awake and groomed even when youve just rolled out of bed. I think its great stuff. Actually I used it the day before I gave birth to DD in August so you can check the results for yourself on the immediately post birth pics on my profile! I've never really got on with proper mascara always clumps or smudges and ends up making me look tired.
