Boots Protect and Perfect
Eve Lom is aromatic, lasts forever and suits all skin types as a rule...even if a tub costs an eye-watering £70.
now Blu, you are meant to say at this point, so that is why your skin is so gorgeous Marina

pointydog · 01/11/2007 17:52

hairsy, you are suzyc??

Iz hates it when people change names

bossykate · 01/11/2007 17:53

marina, it is all those things, but also a bit of a faff!!

pointydog · 01/11/2007 17:53

Hmm. I found some photos of me at 18 the other day when I was clearing out the shed and I looked like an entirely different person. I don't think there's much to be gained from hankering after lost youth though is there (not saying you're not young still, but YKWIM). Let's face it, most 20-somethings are pretty attractive even with a few imperfections, but these days I notice that if I have more blemishes than usual for some reason or other (eye bags, a crop of spots, frizzy hair, dry skin) it can make the difference between OK and not-OK.

I think I'm trying to say that health and general condition makes a lot more difference now than when we were younger. I am aware that using the word 'condition' makes us sound like competitors at Crufts.

Moron is sobernow's subtly appropriate restyle of the very good and easy to use Omron "get walking you fattie" pedometer
It remembers how far you have walked but thankfully doesn't dish the dirt in company
It is robust more to the point and accurate
From Amazon, worth every penny, about £20

pointydog · 01/11/2007 17:55

I've pondered more

hair
tits
shoes

concentrate on those and no one will really notice all the in-between bits

Marina · 01/11/2007 17:55

bk, do you not love your rinky-dink little muslin cloths then
Dd keeps stealing mine to make loincloths for Maisy & co

Blu · 01/11/2007 17:55

£70!!!!!!

Crikey! NO WONDER Marina's skin does indeed look fantastic!

I had a little meet-up with some of those 'look 10 years younger' threaders, and they do all look damn fantastic! Am hiding under the tablecloth until I can get to boots ofr the protect and Survive stuff and plunder DS's savings for the Eva Lom.

Blu, it lasts six months plus though
so on a £ per scrub it's honestly quite economical

pointydog · 01/11/2007 17:57

oh yes, friends in teh north

Blu · 01/11/2007 17:58

What muslin cloths? What faff? I'm not going to bed done up like a rare find from and egyptian archaelogical site, I can tell you that!

mine lasts a long time because if i am really tired i can't be ar$ed!

Marina · 01/11/2007 17:59

Forsyte Saga too
I have fond memories of her playing the spoons ineptly in Mike Leigh's lovely London Film Festival intro short

bossykate · 01/11/2007 17:59

and actually a lot of the condition of your skin is genetic.

Marina · 01/11/2007 18:00

Bk, that is when the Clarins Peach Water all-in-one slacker's solution stands up to be counted

bossykate · 01/11/2007 18:00

no, no, my slacker solution is olay daily facial cleaning all in one wipes. they're pretty good.

anything where you don't have to piss about with cotton wool, or a cloth and running water...

Marina · 01/11/2007 18:01

But genes is definitely true
I get my admittedly very reasonable skin off my dad's side of the family, but dd has the most astonishingly gorgeous skin that we cannot account for in immediate gene pool

policywonk · 01/11/2007 18:01

pointy, did you notice that. That's someone else getting us mixed up.
