Always on the hunt for new products. I have heard of Glossier but never bought anything. Can I have your standout products and the misses please.

Thanks @Respectabitch

The Boy Brow looks quite good but that's not a very wide shade range. My eyebrows are black but if I use black pencil etc on them it looks very odd! I usually buy a dark grey.

KnitFastDieWarm · 04/02/2021 07:29

Cloud paint and lash slick mascara are hero products for me - both absolutely brilliant. Have repurchased both more than once.
Futuredew - gives a nice glow, but smell is a bit essential oily/strong for my taste. I also find it can drag on my skin, so i tend to mix it with a dab of moisturiser.
Boy brow - really good, but doesn’t last very long as the tube is tiny. i’ve now moved on to Anastasia beverly hills equivalent which comes in a wider shade range and seems to last longer.

GuyFawkesDay · 04/02/2021 08:13

Ooh yes I forgot about the sheer lipstick (Generation G)

I have it in the pale pink. It's basically my lips but nicer. Very subtle.

JorisBonson · 04/02/2021 08:18

I use the stretch concealer and skin tiny every day and I'm never changing products ever.

Cloud paint is also brilliant but only squeeze out half of what you think you need, then half it again. The tubes will last years!

JorisBonson · 04/02/2021 08:18

Tint*

Difficultusername · 04/02/2021 08:19

Skin tint is brilliant. Really light, doesn't feel like you wearing anything but evens out skin really nicely.

Cloud paint also great- I apply a tiny dab and then blend with a beauty blender.

JorisBonson · 04/02/2021 08:24

@Difficultusername I need to try it with a beauty blender. It doesn't half stain your fingers!

Difficultusername · 04/02/2021 08:52

@JorisBonson it's so much better! Just a tiny dab on blender and then kinda stipple it? (That sounds a lot like some kind of wall painting technique but it does work)

This is what i do too, except with a brush. The stipple effect is much better and lasts longer. 👍🏻

JorisBonson · 04/02/2021 13:05

My face will be well stippled tomorrow! 😂

sansucre · 04/02/2021 14:26

Jelly cleanser, Future Dew and their mascara.

Housewife2010 · 04/02/2021 14:56

I've been ordering from Glossier since they first launched in the UK over three years ago. I love the Boy Brow, Skin Tint and Stretch Concealer. I have rebought them. I also really like the Cloud Paint, Lidstar in Fawn, body products and the cleanser. The vinyl lip in Pony is a great natural toned lipgloss. I have a 10% off your first order code on the promo board.

GwendolineWindowlene · 04/02/2021 14:59

I'm 50 and use their Stretch Concealer. It's great.

MaryLennoxsScowl · 04/02/2021 15:10

Love Boy Brow, stretch concealer, mascara, balms, cloud paint - have repurchased these. The mascara is very light which I like, a really natural look, but if you prefer more voom then it wouldn’t be for you.
Hated lidstar. Meh about the liquid liner - it’s good but not sure it’s better than other liquid liners. The lipsticks were a mixed bag - one was oddly hard and took lots of work to paint it on, and the other was lovely (the sheer red) but broke in the tube and fell out and was unusable - though tbf i carried it around for ages in my bag. The skin tint foundation makes my nose oilier than not putting foundation on so I use Laura mercier instead. Futuredew I use as highlighter rather than all over - it looks amazing all over under foundation (though not under theirs - you need a heavier one) but is a bit shiny by itself.

MaryLennoxsScowl · 04/02/2021 15:11

Oh yeah, don’t rate their cleansers/serums either - bit teenagey.

Divebar2021 · 04/02/2021 15:31

I’m 50 with dry skin but otherwise few blemishes. Fair hair and light skin tone.

I rate the Boy Brow, Skin Tint and Stretch Concealer. The boy brow in blonde is quite dark for my very fair eyebrows so I’m going to try the clear. I have cloud paint in “puff “ which is good and also a couple of tinted lip balms. There’s one called Wild Fig I think which is a browny red on me. The mascara I wasn’t wild about... it’s very defining but not good at volume. The jelly cleanser is very light and not rich enough for me ( I also use Liz Earle). I don’t find it good enough at removing eye makeup so I use it in the morning in the shower and use Cleanse & polish at night. I think it’s targeted at younger skin. All in all it’s great for natural, well groomed looks that are not to “ done”. I also wear Bobbi Brown which is more for my age group but more expensive.

Housewife2010 · 04/02/2021 22:03

I have the Glossier You perfume too. I really like it as a layering scent. It is gorgeous with Jo Malone Red Roses.

toastfiend · 04/02/2021 22:28

I've almost entirely moved across to Glossier now and I love it. I bought a new foundation recently and whilst it's probably the best foundation I've ever had, the coverage just looks way too heavy since using their skin tint.

Bow brow is good, as is Cloud Paint. Love the sheer, matte lipstick. Lip glosses are a bit gloppy but give a great shine (if the early noughties look is what you want!), the eyebrow pen is a bit hit and miss, I don't find it very easy to use and the colour transference is pretty crap. I like Futuredew, but found you only need a little bit and have to be a bit careful with where you apply it. Their serums (Super Bounce, Super Glow, Super Pure) are amazing and I'd never be without them now. My previously spotty, rubbish skin is now actively complimented, and I can get away with using the skin tint, which wasn't enough coverage for me before. I also like the concealer.

As others have said, I do think it depends on what kind of look you like. I used to like quite "done"/full coverage make-up and it would have been no good for me then. These days I prefer a fresher-faced, dewy look, and it's perfect for that.

Melange99 · 05/02/2021 08:31

Thanks for the feedback everybody. My skin is good and I like a more natural look so it looks like a lot of these products would suit me. I think I will pass on Future Dew though, it seems hit and miss.

I have ordered the skin tint and concealer, I got a bundle offer so cheaper than buying separately. I also have a free sample of two of the blushers I was interested in coming. I wanted a couple of the lip balms but all sold out.

Loves

  • boy brow, brow gel
  • lash slick mascara
  • stretch concealer
  • cloud paint
  • vinylic lip, although sadly I think theyve maybe been discontinued

Didn’t rate

  • milky cleanser, so so drying although i’m really interested in the oil
  • generation g lipsticks, loved the colour and formula but couldnt get over the smell of then
  • brow flick, im not a pen fan but I see others online that love it
BobbinThreadbare123 · 06/02/2021 15:09

I ordered a couple of the sets. Bit surprised by how tiny everything is for the price tbh. I like the Cloud Paint but it had an air bubble in the tube so I reckon about 3 month's worth came out! I can feel it drying on my face too. Not sure I like that. The skin tint is ok considering my skin isn't actually that fab. The concealer is good. The Boy Brow is alright. Not sure I'd order again but I'm happy to try it out. I used Findation to get my colour matches. The minimalist packaging is appealing.

Housewife2010 · 08/02/2021 06:52

I use the concealer under my eyes and around my nose every day and a pot lasts me two years. The Skin Tint lasts me ages too. I love the Boy Brow but I find it runs out fast. At the moment I'm using Lumene Brow Wax ( which is a very similar eyebrow mascara) and it seems never ending. I don't think the Lumene Brow Wax or mascara will ever run out.

CrochetToTheMoon · 08/02/2021 11:05

Housewife i’ve never heard of Lumene but just checked them out and their skincare looks amazing! Where did you get the brow gel?

Housewife2010 · 08/02/2021 11:40

I got the Lumene Advent calendars for 2018 and 2019. The skincare was very good and thr the makeup has been very good and some items have been outstanding. I've also had the tinted moisturiser serum and a silvery taupe eyeshadow stick in the calendars which I love.
