I am waiting for a spa scented essential oil to arrive from The White Company .

Booksandwine80 · 23/12/2020 08:03

I have a diffuser and I love mixing lavender and ylang ylang. Not necessarily spa scent but absolutely beautiful and calming Smile

ellaballoo · 23/12/2020 08:03

It’s neroli ,geranium and eucalyptus .

NoMoreDucksToGive · 23/12/2020 08:04

Oh good question! I think neroli, lavender, maybe ylang-ylang. Frangipani possibly too, chamomile. I'd love to be able to recreate the smell accurately but haven't got more than part-way there with those scents.

The Neom de-stress collection smells exactly like a spa to me. I've screen shot the info on what scents they use.

I'm getting the Neom Wellbeing pod for my Christmas. They seem to be the ones used in spas. They have a Real Luxury blend and a Tranquility one. Have a look on their website and you could either buy a blend from there (£20) or copy the oils and DIY it.

Lavender, rosemary, eucalyptus -fresh and uplifting
Lavender, neroli- relaxing and soothing
Lavender, neroli and geranium- relaxing and warm
Bergamot and neroli- wake up citrus.

You'll need to check you've got pure neroli as it's a more expensive ingredient than the others so tends to be sold in a carrier oil. If it's in an oil you'll need more drops.

I’m new to this world. I’ve got a steamy puffing machine coming at Xmas. Got know the type. Not sure how to mix in this situation

We love sandalwood, smells just like the spa at Longleat centre parcs!

Labobo · 23/12/2020 08:18

Lavender, geranium and a tiny drop of eucalyptus or rosemary. I want one now!.

TheSilentStars · 23/12/2020 08:25

You definitely need to look up the balance of drops- most diffusers come with a few recipes, but as a rule of thumb you'll need more drops of any citrus oil than others, especially if they're in a carrier oil, lavender, despite being wonderful is a relative of rosemary so you can overdo it. Oils like rosemary, eucalyptus etc you need only a few drops or it all turns into toilet duck meets Vicks. Xmas Grin

I asked once what the lovely smell at our local spa was - white tea and jasmine apparently

Seatime · 23/12/2020 09:19

If you can get to your health store, you could ask an assistant to let you smell the essential oils, if covid allows. It's really down to what you like. Lavender is commonly used for relaxation.

HoneyWheeler · 23/12/2020 09:31

Ah man I need the answer to this question too! Am going to try some of these recommendations this morning. I love geranium so maybe that's a nice one to start with. Have got lavender and frankincense in the diffuser at the moment and it's lovely but not quite spa-y

KatharinaRosalie · 23/12/2020 09:50

I can't stand lavender so for me it's verbena and lemongrass

AnaisB · 23/12/2020 12:21

Cedar wood oil for me. It reminds me of saunas.

Housewife2010 · 23/12/2020 12:58

Lavender and grapefruit together is a beautiful combination.

mowglika · 26/12/2020 17:32

Try lavender, geranium and (less) clary sage - very spa like combination, the clary sage and lavender gives it that slight medicinal edge

doadeer · 26/12/2020 17:48

I'd honestly just buy a blend unless you know an essential oil you love. The white company one is great

ZaraW · 26/12/2020 18:03

Thai companies do the best blends Panpuri, Than, The Grass etc

Gogreengoblin · 28/12/2020 13:46

I love that smell for that reason!
XingMing · 28/12/2020 17:49

Neal's Yard Aromatherapy Meditation is very subtle.

These are a bit confusing

There's a wellbeing set on qvc but with two different options.
