I'm also falling out of love with my Burt's Bees lip balm!

My lips are quite dry and I am slightly addicted to using lip balm, which is probably half the problem.....

O'Keeffe's Lip Repair is brilliant

LobsterRavioli · 04/12/2020 17:11

You need Lanolin.

Lanolips is good, or a nipple balm!

MattBerrysHair · 04/12/2020 17:13

O'Keeffe's is amazing and I've tried everything.

2020nymph · 04/12/2020 17:13

Burt bees, but I want to try the Fresh Sugar lip balms after seeing them recommended on here.

ParadiseLaundry · 04/12/2020 18:06

Blistex. Under £2 in Savers. Job's a good 'unSmile

WobbliHead3000 · 04/12/2020 18:08

Clarinet have a great one. Can’t remember the name but it comes in a blue tube

londongirl12 · 04/12/2020 18:11

Blistex is amazing!!!!!

AuntieDolly · 04/12/2020 18:17

Carmex for me!

justgeton · 04/12/2020 18:18

Elizabeth Arden 8 hour lip balm is in a league of its own. Pricey but worth it.

ShirleyPhallus · 04/12/2020 18:21

I actually find that a good lip gloss is much better than a lip balm and stays on for longer

Juicy tubes are the best (if a little 2007)

AnneShirleysNewDress · 04/12/2020 18:22

Carmex. The plain in the little pot.

Greenplums · 04/12/2020 18:23

Bepanthen nappy cream. It really works!

moonbambi · 04/12/2020 18:25

Nothing works for me besides blistex intensive moisturiser lip cream! I even tried the Elizabeth Arden one which is around £15 for a tiny pot and it wasn't worth the hype

Anjelika · 04/12/2020 18:48

I came on here to ask the very same question OP. Like you I think I'm slightly addicted to the stuff but right now none of my usual ones are doing it for me. Might try the Blistex that's been recommended as will be by a Savers tomorrow. Is it a particular one that's been recommended?

LethargicLumpOfLockdownLard · 04/12/2020 18:49

@MattBerrysHair

Yep, this. Unscented and lasts a while.
Madamswearsalot · 04/12/2020 18:57

I second @LobsterRavioli's recommendation for lanolin - I've got several tubes of lansinoh nipple cream dotted round and about. Luckily they've started to do it in a smaller tube.

tothesea · 04/12/2020 19:14

Carmex all the way..can’t live without it!

MrsDoctorDear · 04/12/2020 19:21

Vaseline has petroleum in it and will make your lips hotter and dryer. The more you put on the more your lips will tighten and dry, so you put more on!

I only use EOS now, I've gone from using Vaseline 20-30 times a day to using EOS a couple of times a day.

I keep one in my handbag, on my desk, bedside table, in the car. They used to be round £6 each but Home & Bargain now sell them for £1.99.

Don't use anything with petroleum.

Thanks all.

Is the O'Keefe one in a tube or the more lipstick-like one?

DH uses O'Keefe's Working Hands which is excellent.

Forever Living Aloe Lips - with Aloe Vera and Jojoba. It's the best I've tried. The Aussie one with manuka honey is good too

BeautifulSofa · 04/12/2020 21:08

Dr Pawpaw balms are lush and sort out my dry lips. Also drink more water and eat more fat.

What is EOS?
BeautifulSofa · 04/12/2020 21:14

I had an EOS and it went mouldy Hmm

FitzChivalry · 04/12/2020 21:17

Dr. Lipp!
