DIY fold, fine, mine are pre-folded, as already cropped, but IMO so long as evenly folded would be fine.

I like boots currently in new look, calf length, flat, pointy toes, ever so slightly scrunched in the leg.

yes you can, uggs are for everyone, in fact a woamn i work with the other day asked me why i was wearing slippers, older folk wear slippers!
